  A relaxing week at the beach

  We had a lovely week at Breathless Punta Cana at the Xhale club. Ms G was our butler and she was extraordinary! No request was deemed too small or too big and all were addressed quickly! If we had a question or a need she made sure we had what we needed in a timely manner. Our only suggestion would be, and this is not on Ms G, is that when we arrived we were taken to the lovely Xhale lounge by the Xhale pool for check in and to wait for our room and not the office in the building or room was in.

  Another amazing stay at Breathless Punta Cana — we’ll keep coming back

  We just got back from another trip to Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa and honestly, it reminded us exactly why we came back in the first place. The staff and service are what make this place stand out. We visited last year, and this year we were blown away by how many familiar faces we recognized—and even more by how many of them recognized us. By the end of the trip, the buffet hostess knew our room number without asking. That kind of personal touch just doesn’t happen everywhere and made the whole experience feel next-level. Food & restaurants: Overall, fantastic. Coquito and The Strip were our favorites, and hibachi is always a must—never disappoints. The only small downside is that restaurants don’t open until 6:30, so if you go right at peak time, you’ll probably wait a bit. Not a dealbreaker, just something to plan around. We didn’t make it over to Dreams this time because it was pretty busy, but honestly, there were more than enough great options to keep us happy. The buffet deserves a shoutout too—anything made to order (omelets, pasta, steak) was consistently great. The pre-set items were a little hit or miss, but again, the service there was 'super magnifico' and more than made up for it. Entertainment & activities: There’s always something going on at the pool and beach—super fun, high energy, and easy to jump into. I may or may not have been tricked into an “easy yoga session” that turned into an aggressive paddle boarding workout (still recovering 😅), but that’s part of the fun, right? We did think the music/DJ variety was slightly better last year, but this team still brought great energy and kept things lively. The Queen show was hands down our favorite—so well done. Overall: The cleanliness, atmosphere, and especially the service are what make this place unbeatable. It’s rare to feel that level of consistency and genuine hospitality, and it’s the reason we’ll keep coming back to Breathless Punta Cana.

  Excellent return visit!

  Returned to breathless for our 2nd holiday at this hotel and it did not disappoint! Last here in August 2024, returned December 2025 Food was on another level to the year before! We enjoyed last time but once again spoilt for choice at the breakfast buffet & we loved the à la carte restaurants in the evenings😍Culinaria was our favourite, we also loved the French, The Asian both table service and live cooking and The Strip Grill. We opted to stay in Breathless for meal times & for our full stay as we didn’t want to be around children in Dreams. The service from staff was excellent, special shout outs to Angel & Carlos P at the freestyle pool remembering us from last time & treating us so well! We liked to be around the freestyle pool for the atmosphere & loved walks on the beach in the mornings, beautiful & no sea weed! Also a mention to Anyelo at the theatre bar, remembering us & always making the best surprise cocktails🤩entertainment was great as usual! Chante such an excellent entertainer & dancer, can tell he loves his job & was well liked by all guests! And our last shout out to Jose at the Abyss bar! Making us the best drinks with top notch service and always served with happiness & a smile! We had an excellent experience at Breathless and would not hesitate to return for a 3rd time!

  Beautiful

  Beautiful resort! Lots of activities! Fun & friendly staff! Amazing food and drinks! Comfortable bed! Wonderful stocked bar in room!

  If your a smoker and like backed up toilets

  If your a smoker this is the place for you! They don’t have designated smoking areas. Just as I was relaxing anywhere, someone would light up a cigar 🤢 so gross in my opinion. This ruined my nap on the beach and several other occasions. Make enjoyable smoking AREAS! I couldn’t get away from smoke. We did visit during the busy spring break time last week so I’m trying to give grace to the hotel on some things. The food is average all inclusive. Not great, not terrible. The staff was good. Edwin was amazing! The resorts layout is hard to navigate. Wear comfortable shoes because you will be walking a lot. My biggest issue was the women’s bathroom for the theatre and main lobby bar. For the entire week we visited the hotel had some poor lady pouring buckets of water down the toilets to force flush them. Then by the end of the week there was absolutely no water even for washing your hands. The hotel continued to keep this pour lady in the bathroom. She didn’t speak English. To say I felt for her is a huge understatement as guests were understandably confused and angry just wanting to use the bathroom. Basically the toilets were porta Jon’s and couldn’t be flushed, no water to wash your hands!!! Just absolutely disgusting and unacceptable! I can only imagine how many people got or could have gotten sick from this? Why did they put this poor lady through this? Just close the bathroom!!! I asked to talk to a manager when we checked out the next day and he just blew off my complaint and said they would tell the manager! We paid way too much and will not be back to this hotel ever that’s for sure. Also weirdly 90% of the toilet seats are 1 inch to short. Basically if you sit to use the bathroom you are sitting on the bowl!!🤢 I’ve never seen anything like it and never want to again.
