  Would Stay Here Again!

  This was our first all-inclusive experience so we didn't know what to expect. The pros: The resort was beautiful and clean. The music, activities and entertainment were a lot of fun (even if you just watched and didn't participate). The beach was really nice. The food was on par with what we expected. Silk City (Hibachi) was the best specialty restaurant we tried. The local beer is really great. The amenities in the room were nice, they even provided a courtesy umbrella in case of rain. The cons: Due to the open air hallways with tile floors, you hear everyone walking and talking down the halls outside of your room. Bring earplugs. The cocktails are weak, we so pretty much stuck to beer. Some of the specialty restaurants had slow service. You will be harassed by local vendors on the beach, but a simple "no thank you" works well. Beware the guys with the exotic animals, they will attempt to hustle you. We had friends pay to take pictures with the monkey and they started putting other animals on them too and tried charging them more stating "they were not together" and our friends didn't ask for photos with the birds or iguana.

  five stars! Use your butler to get the most out of your trip!

  the entire trip was great from start to finish. room was beautiful, pool was great. based on other reviews I was concerned about the party reputation but it turned out that the resort was spread out so if we wanted to party we could and if we wanted more chill that was available too. we got a room away from the party pool so when we wanted to go sleep it was all good. bartenders were fun and energetic. The only things I would add if I could would be to put some top shelf vodka and tequila at the pool bars and also to have ice cream for some of the drinks instead of crushed ice. other than those 2 little things i'd give this place 5 stars.

  Wonderful stay in paradise!

  I had an excellent stay at this hotel and couldn’t be happier with my experience. Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful—you really feel taken care of from the moment you arrive. The overall vibe of the hotel is just amazing. I especially loved the wide range of activities offered throughout the day, from early morning until late at night. Whether it was relaxing yoga sessions, sports activities, rum tastings, cocktail classes, or the amazing evening shows, there was always something enjoyable to do. A special shout-out to the entertainment team—they are absolutely fabulous and do such an incredible job creating fun, energy, and unforgettable moments. You can really feel how much care and attention goes into making guests feel comfortable and happy. I would always come back and can highly recommend this hotel!

  First time in the Dominican

  We just returned from 6 days at Breathless. It was our first time in the DR and we loved it. Our request to our travel agent was a great beach and adults only. This resort hit both out of the park. We are beach people and we spent every day on the beach.... even the cloudy ones. We lost a day of our vacation because of the storm so we were ready to get out of the cold. We had 4 days of really nice sunny weather and 2 days of clouds and rain at night. You can't control the weather. One day we were on the beach reading and the wind was whipping. We were the only ones on the beach chairs! But we left 20+ inches of snow at home, so windy and cloudy beach was still better than being at home. The staff was very friendly and eager to please. We brough $200 for tips and used most of it. $2 for a drink. $5 for meals and room. They are so grateful for anything. I did see a lot of people not leave any tips.... The restaurants were really good. Kibbeh was closed. Even the buffet was great for dinner. I know there are discussions about the dress codes for the restaurants. I wore a sundress or nice slacks every night. My husband wore shorts and a nice shirt with boat shoes. I did see girls not allowed in the buffet because they only had bathing suit tops on. We ate at the French restaurant twice. Saying that..... my husband is a very plain eater, so I was not sure what he would get to eat. The steak was the best, even better than the Steak house. We went next door to Dreams to use the water park and ride the lazy river one morning. It was fun and we ate at the Taco Truck there. I would be back!

  Honest review from traveller.

  Transfer from airport was a bit chaotic but ended O.K. Resort was a bit dated but clean and the grounds were well kept. The beach was at times had a lot of seaweed however the tractors were working hard to clean it up which was a bit of a distraction when trying to relax. Rooms were clean and comfortable. A lot of noise in the halls late at night when the party people returned most likely from Coco Bongo. Service and food were awesome especially Andrea at the Xhale beach. She went above all my expectations and I have been to over 80 resorts in my travels. I would rate this resort a 4 1/2 star but this option is not available.
