We will never come back
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families with little kids. The room service is terrible. They come very late to clean up the room. The cleaning lady got to the room without even knocking, while we were there. One of the days they just ignored our room and didn't come at all. When we came to the service guy to ask why our room wasn't cleaned and asked that it will be cleaned first part of the day, he was just laughing into my face, made notes... but the next day was everything the same... nobody came to clean up our room. When you get out of the room to the wholeway its a terrible smell of sewerage. The front desk is a joke.. they are useless. Most of the workers don't speak English, they don't understand you. The wifi is terrible, there is no connection most of the time. The room we got is not for families with older kids. Glass door to the bath room and the toilet. You can see through. Maybe ok for a couple, but definitely not for families with kids. Also they would promote different excursions to buy . Please make a research, before you buy an excursion, if it will be kids friendly. We had a terrible experience at Saona island taking our kid. What they care about is only to sell you and get the money. We made a mistake and beleived the lady at the front desk that said it is suitable for kids. We were jumping from boat to boat with the stroller and the baby. Was waste of time and money and very bad experience after all. The food is ok, not the best quality. Every day you get same desserts, simple busquit cakes. Overall we try to enjoy from the sea which is beautiful, but only that. The hotel itself far away of being a 4 star hotel. I would give it hardly 2 stars maybe, but definitely not a 4 star. In my opinion for the money they charge you, the service and accomodation should be way better. I would avoid this hotel and look for a better place to stay for you vacation, if you want to enjoy.

Great stay
Upgrade to VIP, you will get better food. Buffet food not good. Beach was nice, service was exceptional, room was nice, clean, large, and had great air-conditioning. It just needed a dresser for storage, we lived out of our suitcases for a week. The grounds are very well kept and we loved the nature area. 1000's of little yellow birds that will eat out of your hand, ducks, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, peacocks, turkeys!!! It was nice.

Ok but not great
Not up to what it should be. Resort needs some major work and a lot of small stuff to be fixed to get it to the point of being a 4-4.5 star much less a 5. Most annoying part was being constantly hassled for excursions and not taking no for a answer.

Don't Go There!
We travelled in August 2022, the weather was warm and beautiful. We travel extensively and the resort was one of the worse resorts we’ve been to and is far from 5 star All-Inclusive. The restaurants are not air conditioned and food sits out for hours and hours. On day 3 of our week, my husband and I came down with horrible food poisoning. I went to the resort Doctor, the answer was we’ll take you the hospital. There was a drug store on sight (who didn’t speak our language and couldn’t translate on her phone) which gave us medication which turned out to enhance the issues. We barely made it home. The ocean bar pictured is an upgrade if you want to go there. Premium brand liquors require an upgraded package. If you want a lock/key for the room safe, even that was extra. The housekeepers were scarce and overworked. Getting a fresh towel was near impossible. There was a water leak which no one seemed to care about. The armed guards at night, I believe were just a false sense of security.

Stay away
This place is a disaster. Pool area and beach are nice, but standard on rooms, and quality of food, is not acceptable for the price asked for. This hotel needs a total renovation and revamp, and i would stronly urge anyone to find other hotels in the area. And to make things even worse, this is a party place, and noise from drunk people is overwhelming at least until 2-3 after midnight..
