Will not return
Very dated, loud music until all hours, food is not good except breakfast, bed is uncomfortable, however,.employees are very nice and they certainly take pride in what they do. The hotel needs a complete overhaul

Horrible
I would not recommend staying here. The pool never had towels, the liquor was terrible, unless you upgraded to which I am still not sure what the upgraded brands were, the food was horrible, aside from Italian restaurant, no other food was good, even the buffet was terrible, we ate fajitas daily, they were the only lunch offerings that were decent.

Book Elsewhere
Save your money and book elsewhere. I’d never recommend this hotel or come back. The food was terrible. We had to leave the resort to eat breakfast lunch and dinner. The pool chair scene is horrible. You won’t be able to get a pool chair till 5 pm. Oh and the best part is they give you a towel card so one towel per person. THEY RUN OUT OF TOWELS. Not once but twice a day. Ridiculous.

Barely a 2 star resort
2 star rating for this supposedly 4-5 star All Inclusive Resort This a very old resort that is in need of a major renovation both in the resort itself and its staff. Old loud ac unit in the rooms, running constantly. Old painted furniture also. There was no screens on the balcony sliding doors. And the doors were soo old you could hear loud music from the outside and when the wind was blowing the doors ," whistled". The bath towels were extremely rough as if they completely bleached out. I had a security light shining into our room all night long. Along with Loud music coming the street area in front. The pool area barely has 20 lounge chairs for a 2 tower 9 floor resort?. If you didn't wakeup at 5am to "Grab" a chair you were out of luck, pathetic. Front main lounge is large with a very small bar. The food is just barely average. You Have "timed" eating hours for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the buffet. We were told at check in ,No room service was available. The food at the gourmet resturants' was just average with small portions. The front desk clerk area was something to be desired. Many times they had no clue what was going on when asked about reservations within the hotel and other issues. The upper management , especially the hotel mgr Mr. Johnson was NO WHERE TO BE FOUND ON THE PROPERTY, especially when requested to speak with him. This what I mean about the staff being renovated or replaced. I could write more, but I hope people reading will get the experience I had. I did expect more but not the extreme. I just feel that if your resort gets a 4-5 star it should be one. I will go back to Aruba again but NEVER to this place again. There are choices to be had. STAY AWAY FROM HERE.

Restaurant - Mexico Lindo
Wonderful restaurants on premises, in particular Mexico Lindo. Ask for servers Rodell and Sammy. A+ service and attention to detail. Thank you gentlemen! Sangria was to die for:) We are here for a week on our honeymoon and look forward to some more visits to Mexico Lindo restaurant here at the Barcelo!
