  Another fantastic 2 week stay!

  Just returned from our second stay at Bahia Escape Runaway Bay. We were there for 2 weeks and were still not ready to come home! Yes, the Explore side is still closed and there are only 3 a la cartes open but they were all fantastic with great food and terrific service. We also really love the buffet. Every night they have a different theme and different food and it was all really good. The staff were also excellent. I wish I had the names of all the staff that made our stay so awesome but a few are: Keyna, Adrienno, Shantel, Adeque, Kedisha, Howayne, Brandon, Kemar (Crazy Legs), Alfredo, Donovan and so many others. The staff here are amazing and dedicated to making your stay a great one! Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean and we enjoyed sitting on our balcony. We are already planning our third trip, hopefully next year.

  Very Disappointing Stay

  To begin with the positives, the people were incredibly friendly and the grounds were beautiful. The food was fine. Perhaps I went in with the wrong expectations, but my best friend and I hoped to have a quiet, relaxation vacation. The music at the pool was extremely loud, so we chose the "quiet" pool which was only a few steps away. We were ok with it because the music ended at 6pm. Then Sunday night rolled around, and the music and base were blaring right outside our window until at least 11pm. Thankfully we had earplugs and were able to drown most of it out. I guess I should have done more research to know what to expect. The hotel itself is very much in need of updating. Our sliding door to the outside balcony would not shut fully, and the phone in the room would only work in speaker mode. When we asked about these things, it took until the next day to be resolved. When we called about the music on Sunday night, one person told us it would end at 11:00pm, and another said 1:00am. When we asked if the Brazilian restaurant would be open the next night, no one knew the answer. You must have reservations to the "specialty" restaurants, which no one told us. I happened to gather that information myself after joining a Facebook group about the property. You also need the app, which is extremely outdated and barely works. For example, I tried to order room service breakfast, but the options are unclear and selections clunky.

  Excellent 👌 Customer Service

  My stand out is the customer service from the entrance and every single staff until we left. The staff made the stay very enjoyable. Everyone was polite and courteous and helpful and wore a smile and greeted you as if they were genuinely happy you were there. Everyone said good morning or hello or good evening. You did not feel like you were bothering anyone. Infact this visit was a repeat visit since August because of the level of service then and it was consistent. Room service was very quick despite being told 45minutes. We used it twice .

  The best girl trip ever!

  I had an incredible time! I can’t wait to visit again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The entertainment was top notch.The atmosphere was amazing!
