  Would never stay here again

  This resort was extremely underwhelming. I would not stay here again. My family (husband and two teenage boys) stayed here March 23-31, 2026. There were a couple of nice things: 1. The view was amazing. We saw whales from the balcony 2. The boys had separate beds 3. There was a sleep number bed in master We were in unit 711 Unfortunately the rest of the stay was very disappointing. 1. Staff was not helpful and at times downright rude. Our refrigerator was not working until the last day or two of our 7 night stay. When we arrived it was turned to 0 (which I did not realize until I smelled rotten fruit the next day). When I tried to kindly get help 3 separate times (because it was also actually broken), the staff blamed me each time. They accused me of messing with the dial, they told me I didn't call soon enough, and they told me I didn't know how a refrigerator works. Each time I tried approaching them without accusation but rather a plea for help. And each time their first response was to shift blame. When I stay at a resort or even a Motel 6 that has a refrigerator, I expect it to be in working order. I chose this resort because we'd have the option of cooking a few meals. At the end of the day, this probably cost us AT LEAST $300 with the groceries that we had to throw away and the meals we ended up eating out because of the faulty refrigerator. They claimed to refund the $100 resort fee but I have not seen that refund (2 days later). They also have no map of the area/information when you check in. They mention a lot of things, but it's very hard to follow. 2. There were cockroaches in the kitchen. Many of them 3. There is no housekeeping of any kind. No towel service. No garbage service. You can pay $86 per day for these services. Each time we needed towels, coffee, detergent, etc we had to go to the front desk and ask. They then wrote everything down with room number. It felt like having to ask permission from my mother at the age of 40. 4. There is a beach right in front of the hotel that you are STRONGLY advised not to swim at. This was mentioned but was much harder to deal with once we were there. 5. There is a HUGE wind tunnel over the pool every day. It is a nice pool but the wind was unbearable. We were there on very windy days but it seemed to be quite a bit windier in that spot than most. This place has potential. The unit could be quite nice with a little extra care. But due to what appears to be mismanagement and poor service, I would not spend over $700 a night for this accommodation.

  Mahalo to the magnificent Mahana!

  We had a fabulous getaway at the Mahana! The flat was gorgeous, spacious, and well-appointed; the facilities were top notch; and the view was straight-up WORLD CLASS. Special shout out to General Manager Brian Cox, who made sure the entire experience was seamless. Mahalo!

  40th anniversary dream trip

  Loved everything about Aston. The price and location were perfect. We could walk to stores and restaurants. The beach was right there. They had grills which we bought fresh fish 2 miles down the road and cooked. Perfect place

  A very special place

  We stayed at the Aston Mahana at Kaanapali February 2026 and loved our stay. The views are terrific and made our trip! We cannot say enough about the staff there and how warm and helpful they were, particularly Karen, a very caring person who went above and beyond at the front desk and the manager, Brian Cox, who kindly assisted us in a medical difficulty. This is a very special place. Jan and Doug

  Happy Hoosiers

  My wife and I stayed in Mahana 717. Our stay was exceptional. All areas of this condo were well maintained and clean. The owner was easily accessible and very responsive whenever we had a question involving this unit. We would like to come back. Duke’s restaurant and bar next door is a fun place with good food.
