Great location, beautiful property
Great location with a great market within walking distance with shops and vendors. Great ac, beach view from the lanai, the furniture was outdated and the room was dusty. Nice pool area with easy beach access for photos not swimming

Great home base for exploring island
Tropical Paradise there on the resort grounds! Well maintained foliage and the best part was the staff , excellent customer service.- check in/out was great. Love the added bonus of free bike rental and unlimited movies. Nice touch, especially if you are staying a few days. There is also a store and mini mall across the street which is an added bonus. Farmers market, stores, food and entertainment. Also in the room there is a micro, sink, and mini fridge. helpful to heat up leftovers. As far as the rooms- I can't speak for every room and I am not to sure about each individual unit because some are rentals are airbnb, VRBO, etc but the unit I was in needed some updating. The bed was very uncomfortable, furnishings were dated and the room had an old musty smell. I think the mold/mildew smell may be a thing on the island because I did notice this at another resort. Location is close to Airport. If you are looking for a condo/timeshare type of property then this would be a good choice. just remember it is dated. But ALOT of resorts on the island are this way. Located right on the beach. _In my opinion is not a swimmable beach. You will need to got to the other side of the island. But its a great place for a home base to explore other parts of the island.

Good Hotel with one exception
We had a great experience with except of our upstairs neighbors being very loud. Tried to contact security but they weren’t available until 9am. Quiet hours aren’t enforced and you’re on your own until 9am

A Delightful Time in Beautiful Surroundings!
At Aston Islander on the Beach Resort one can have a delightful time in beautiful surroundings. Many resorts are on the beach but there are not many at which you can look up and down a long coastline with many curves and surf lines and replete with forest green volcanoes. Shopping and dining are all a two-minute walk from ones room and a 3/4 of a mile walk gets one to the local grocery store where one can buy food to grill at one of four ready-to-use grills by the pool. Aston is also a little over a mile away from a fantastically protected "pool" of the sea in which one can snorkel and see fish of all kinds, shapes and sizes. Come stay at the Aston where, whatever your brand of fun, you'll enjoy a relaxing vacation on the Garden Island.

Great Gardens, near ocean and Market
First visit to Kauai and decided to stay at the Aston Islander for 6 nights since it's centrally located. We stayed in room 227, which faces the ocean and has great views. The weather is so temperate that we were able to sleep with the screen door open each night and fall asleep the sounds of the ocean. Pros: Nice location, very close to shops, restaurants and market. My husband and I walked to the Coconut Market everyday for breakfast. Nice pool and hot tub. Beautiful gardens surround the resort. Located about a 45 minute drive to Hanalei area, 45 minutes to Poipu Beach and 1.5 to 2 hours to Waimea Canyon lookouts. Cons: In an area with lots of traffic. Parking can be tough if returning later in the evening around 9pm. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
