Easy access to so much of the island!

My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary. It is located on the East Shore. It is close to the airport and makes sightseeing around the island very accessible. We stayed on the 3rd floor/ oceanfront. It had a great view and easy access to pool, front desk, Marketplace, and food. There is no elevator. So, if you bring lots of luggage be prepared. This resort is clean, well cared for has been around for many years. It reminded me of Sanibel Inn in Sanibel Island , FL. We enjoyed the pool and happy hour. We also enjoyed the grounds. Took a ton of photos. This is not a swimming beach. But there are 15 or more on the island. You can grab coffee and breakfast easily. Dinner is accessible at several close locations. I met a lady at the pool that had come here for 25 years! I understand why. On our last day, we checked out at 11am. We had access to the facility until our ride came at 6pm. There was a place to store luggage and an accessible bathroom to change before leaving. PS Mark the bar tender looks like Richard Gere and he makes a damn good Mai tai.

    Nice sport

While it's not the most modern or up to date, it's a great location with plenty of restaurants/shops/activities within walking distance. It was also a great place to explore the island as it was in-between both Poipu and Princeville. The ocean front rooms are perfect for easy access to the beach and listening to the waves. The staff was great and very helpful.

    The Perfect Oceanfront Honeymoon Resort!

Aston Islander on the Beach was simply wonderful. This resort knows how to provide quality service and spectacular comfort!! The bamboo furnishings are just marvelous and truly made us feel like we were on a beach on a remote island - which we were! It was absolutely charming to be there as newlyweds. The oceanfront room is absolutely wonderful. We walked down the pathway to the left and right (north and south) or the Islander and not many other resorts on that strip have true oceanfront condos/hotel rooms. Islander has something like 36 rooms that are all oceanfront, and with the sunrise coming up to our east, it was the perfect way to start off most of our mornings. We kept the sliding door open every single night so we could hear the waves crashing as we fell asleep and woke up in the morning. It’s well worth the extra money, in my opinion! Another really cute perk was the DVD Now rental they had - it felt like we were transported back in time to a simpler age and my wife and I were giddy at choosing new movies to watch at night. We only went to the Sandbar (the on-site bar) once during our stay since we’re not huge drinkers and the Mai Tai’s, Pina Colada, and the Lava Flow were all excellent. The bartender was an older gentlemen with longer, gray-white hair and well-tanned. He was a gentleman and very nice to all of his patrons!! We also used the laundry facilities and they were clean and nice. The dryers worked very well and we didn’t have to do more than one dry cycle! All of the shops in the Coconut Marketplace are wonderful and it’s all so close to the Islander. My wife and I shopped there and ate at a number of them! The only thing we really didn’t take advantage of was the pool and hot tub, but we loved the beach right next to the hotel. The fact that they had pool chairs on the sand was just wonderful - and, might I add, the only other resort along that strip that had that luxury. This place is just fantastic! I would definitely stay here again and am planning to in the future!
