Great hotel
Excellent hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The club is very good, no spirits but red and white wine and good food. Breakfast was very good. The room we had was excellent ,hotel is close to everything.

Great base for a fun place.
Lovely hotel. Can’t beat the location. Nice bed, room, amazing breakfast buffet. Rosella at front desk was lovely and so helpful. This is a great Amsterdam base. Everyone was cheerful and assisted nicely.

Great location… but…
Not the Marriott standard you expect. The location is great. Rooms are spacious and housekeeping attentive. However, front desk is not large enough to accommodate capacity, so always a long wait (check-in, assistance, concierge). Rooms, while spacious, are in need of an update. We unfortunately had a room on the city side. Views were nice, but noise all night from the street prevented sleeping. We were on the 3rd floor. Oddly, no laundry bags provided in room. Housekeeping told us there were none at all in the hotel. You can do better.

Anniversary trip
The Marriott Amsterdam is in an excellent/safe/clean location of the city. The staff are all fluent in English and very helpful with any questions (tours, restaurant recommendations, etc). Frans was more than helpful when we called an Uber to take to the train station. Frans was able to tell our driver which area of the train station we needed to be dropped off so to avoid dragging our luggage through the station. The rooms were spacious (in European standards), very clean and appeared newly renovated with smart decor. I would stay here again

Very average and no recognition of Titanium membership
Very disappointed with this hotel. Check in was curt and no cheeriness at all from the staff member and no recognition of Titanium status within the Bonvoy network. Ordinarily that wouldn’t matter but given I am so used to a warm reception everywhere else worldwide writhing the Marriott Bonvoy network, I now see that as part of the training. Sure it’s a small thing but holidays are when it matters. Then our room didn’t get cleaned on night 2. This was after we specifically removed the “do not disturb” sign, alerted housekeeping, and gave them 11 hours to do it… wow. When I raised this with reception I received a cold response of “post the feedback on TripAdvisor”. Once again, wow. This hotel is in need of a lot of attention and at a little over €400 a night I did expect more. I’d just arrived from the similarly priced Westin London which was infinitely better on all counts (service, rooms, etc etc). I would not stay here again and would advise anyone considering doing so to check other options before taking this one.
