  Excellent Employees

  This is a beautiful hotel and a great location very close to museums. We especially wanted to give a shout out to two extraordinary employees that helped us. Cootje in the M Club was there with a bright smile and always ready to assist. A very grateful thank you is given to Catherine in Guest Relations who went out of her way on my birthday and saw to it that a special desert was waiting in my room along with a bottle of wine. Her extra effort and kindness meant a lot on my birthday.

  Top notch hotel

  Excellent stay at the Amsterdam Marriott. Would return in the future. Rooms: + Nicely appointed, with everything in tip top shape. + Our room was at the end of a hallway, with an entry foyer, so we heard no noise from the hallway. However, during our stay, a guest in another room opened their door because they could hear people waiting on the elevator. Service: + Everyone is well-trained. Anytime a minor hiccup arose (room was not serviced one day), it was quickly addressed. Elite recognition: + No major upgrades available (NUA denied). Fully sold out hotel during our stay. + M Club Lounge was very nice. Had some of the longest breakfast hours I have seen (6-11am), but was essentially the same thing each morning. It got busy during evening hours (5:30-7:30pm), with some minor variation in food. Heineken (and wines) available during evening canapes. + When room was serviced, given a Tony's Chocolonely bar and stroopwafels in a nice tin. Location: + 25 minute walk to Centraal. Along multiple tram lines.

  Home away from home

  Whenever I am in Amsterdam I try to stay at the Amsterdam Marriott. I've spent over 25 days there this year on three different trips and when I walk in the door it feels like home. From Li at the restaurant, to Kotje, Sara, Bianca, a few young men whose names I don't recall...everyone is so warm, friendly, and attentive. The rooms are good sized, beds are comfortable, showers work well, the food in the lounge is great, and any time I've had a problem with my room they help right away. Once my heater didn't work and another time my tv didn't work. Both times they found me a new room right away. Of note, I'd recommend not booking a family room as there is a door connecting the room to the neighboring room, which means that you can hear whatever your neighbor is doing (if you get the idea).

  Great experience, excellent hotel and its services, and above all, the help from Luis who assisted us with everything with great affection and generosity.

  Excellent Service

  We had a very pleasant stay while in Amsterdam at the Marriott. The staff were friendly and helpful. When we did experience small issues the staff were ready to assist and resolve the problems. A particularly pleasant experience was in the executive lounge with Haneef and Kenisha. When we asked for assistance they quickly responded and provided excellent service. Marriott should be proud of the efforts they displayed in trying to resolve our issues in a quick and friendly manner. Thank you!!
