Other than the coffee maker everything was great. View from our room to comfortable beds and pillows. Great staff. Ease of valet service. Location! Location! Location! Footsteps away from the beach. Except when going to other areas on the island we walked everywhere!

    Beautiful property, great location

We had a quick stopover in Honolulu and stayed at the Alohilani. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay an extra night to get more out of our time there. The hotel is steps from the beach with great restaurants and shops connected. The room had an incredible view and super clean.

    Great experience!

Beautiful hotel with an aquarium inside. Made the entrance of the hotel feel very welcoming to adults and to kids. The staff was extremely nice and was able to check us in 3 hours early so they are very accommodating. They gave multiple recommendations and made us feel like they genuinely wanted to make sure we had a great stay. We received towels to take to the beach which was just across the street. Their GYM was small but neat because all the machines were facing the aquarium wall. So it's not a view of the beach outside but it's still a nice view. When we checked out of the hotel, our flight didn't leave for another 5 hours so they offered to keep our luggage for as long as we needed so we can go explore the town without having to carry all of our luggage. Again they were very accommodating. The beds were comfortable, they had all the basic necessities like shampoo/conditioner/ body wash/blow-dryer/ but they did not have a standard coffee maker. They only had an espresso machine and a water boiler to make americanos. I personally didn't care for the coffee situation but I just walked around the corner and got a drip coffee from the ABC store that's only a couple feet away lol . But I definitely recommend this hotel, you just might enjoy the ABC coffee better lol.

"An Unforgettable Stay at Alohilani Resort: A Kamaaina's Perspective"

Aloha! We are residents of Hawaii and we recently took advantage of the "Love Hawaii" offer for Kamaaina at a hotel for the first time. We usually stay at Hilton Hawaiian Village for their slides that our children enjoy. However, this time we stumbled upon Alohilani Resort. We had heard about it before but never really explored it. What drew me to the hotel this time was the Kamaaina offer that was unheard of, including check-in at 11am and check-out at 3pm, self-parking, waived resort fee, and 20% off their buffet. One night while watching Alohilani Resort's Elevate TV, I was fascinated by how they connect with and give back to the community through the Popolo Project, Kina'ole Foundation, and promoting local farmers. I had never heard of a hotel, especially a U.S. Continental corporate company, doing something like this before. It was impressive to see that Alohilani exemplifies the true meaning of taking care of locals who live here. I especially liked the painting of our beautiful Queen Liliʻuokalani greeting everyone as they walk to the other tower. During our stay, I asked one of the employees how he liked working there and how the company treated him as an employee. He said he had worked for Sheraton Waikiki for 18 years until new management came into place, and most of the long-time workers transitioned over to Highgate once Alohilani Resort remodeled the old Pacific Beach Hotel. The CEO of Highgate is not from Hawaii, but he makes the point to connect with the people of this land and treats his employees with respect. We had an amazing time at Alohilani Resort. The art on the walls as we entered the lobby was breathtaking, and Nina Helms' art design drew us in to unwind and enjoy the calming atmosphere. Our room was perfect for our family, and our grandkids had a great time enjoying the pool amenities, delicious food service, and meeting new friends. We also loved the fitness gym and basketball courts on the 9th floor. Although parking was a bit tricky during events, we loved being amongst the tourists and enjoying ourselves.
