  Echo breakfast experience

  Echo restaurant, Kenita very attentive. Met us all 3 mornings and made us feel at home. Service and selection of food were excellent

  Great location and the BEST staff

  Today I decided to go to the Marriott in Zurich for breakfast. I was greeted by Artan with remembering my name (it was a year since my last visit). That got me very happy, then a smiley Mai took me to my favorite table with a view of Zurich. There Fran was, as always, very cordial and friendly. Then to top it all, Ayoub did my omelet with fantastic conversation. I felt that I was home, and so appreciate from the staff. This attitude mades the hotel experience amazing. Thank you all

  Good location to Zurich central

  Very mixed feelings on this hotel as it has so much potential to be better with a few adjustments. The proximity to walk to Zurich central is why we chose the hotel. It was cold and raining and there were no umbrellas in the room to walk into town comfortably, unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. I asked housekeeping where the umbrella was located, they told me there are none! Zurich has a lot of rain so this is surprising. We did venture out and came back soaked, thankfully there are heated floors in the bathroom to dry out clothes and shoes. I was later advised through my review to the hotel that reception has umbrellas, unfortunately this was not relayed to us while staying there. The room itself was comfortable, in the North wing and fully renovated. The bathroom is very small, the shower is good. There are very few complimentary amenities in the room/bathroom and the complimentary coffee pods for me were not very good flavour. Prefer Nespresso pods. We were overlooking the tram line which means quite noisy trams come by every ten minutes until 1am. The service however in the hotel for the most part is excellent , the bar, breakfast room and reception are all good. The bar staff make very good cocktails and the breakfast is high quality, get there early to avoid the crowds as it's not a big space to dine. Two lifts were not working one day which made for an interesting experience given the quantity of guests staying. Reception staff are however friendly, helpful and welcoming. My partner liked the extensive TV channels and smart tv options. Would be nice to have complimentary cold water in the fridge each day as that is expected in a 5 star hotel. I understand that this could be an environmental concern although many 5 star hotels are now installing filtered water for guests and providing reusable glass containers in the rooms. I would have been happy with that. Overall our stay was fine although I'm not sure I would stay again and it has put me off other Marriott hotels. I don't know if other Marriotts have these policies regarding complimentary water, generic coffee pods, lack of umbrellas/amenities in the bathroom, have since booked Accor hotels for my next trip.

  Always a great stay!

  Warm and friendly staff greet us with a smile! The hotel lobby and rooms are very clean and inviting. We always receive our rooms timely.

  Lovely stay

  Excellent service especially by the front desk management. The breakfast was wonderful with a great buffet. We tried both restaurants on the property (Thai and Swiss) and thoroughly enjoyed both. The rooms were clean and elegant.
