Dec 12, 2025Great resort! Much better than staying in town.
Wonderful resort away from the people and choas in San Pedro. If you want to be on the island but prefer quiet, this is the place to come. It does take about 45 minutes in golf cart on a relatively bad road to get here, but its still worth it. There is a supermarket about 20 minutes away, and several bars nearby (recommend Up North, which is only a 2 minute walk). The resort accommodations are nice. Rooms were very clean and cool. We had a two bedroom, two bathroom. The restaurant and overwater bar are great. Beach is sandy and nice, but when we were here, it was usually full of sargasum, thus, unappealing. We swam off the end of the pier for an entire afternoon and the bar service ensured we were happily intoxicated. Secret beach is about 20 minutes away, and a much better place to lounge, eat, swim, and drink than in town. Lots of mosquitoes at dusk and dawn. Night swimming not even possible because of them.

Very helpful staff
Really nice place to stay. The staff was so helpful. We had an issue with a tour that we had thought we booked but fell through and were having trouble arranging it for the next day. Yaniri really helped. She called around and made arrangements for us to have the tour the following day. We had been getting worried that it wouldn’t work out, but with Yaniri’s help it was an amazing tour. She really helped make our stay amazing.

4 days in paradise
We always have an amazing time when we visit X'tan Ha. The staff is very attentive and addresses concerns and needs immediately. The ground are beautifully taken care of. The food is wonderful and very affordable. Gerry and his team are top notch and really care about the guests. We will be back in the spring for another visit.

Off the beaten track.
A great resort nestled away from the noise and lights of San Pedro. The road between the town and the resort it not the best so be prepared for a rough ride in your golf cart. The journey into town for nightlife and groceries can be tiresome after a while so plan ahead what you need and minmize the need to make the trip.
- AdvisoryTransfer information: From Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE), guests can arrange a transfer flight to the San Pedro Air Strip on Ambergris Caye. The transfer flight will be a separate purchase from the vacation package. Please make arrangements with your hotel in advance to schedule pick-up and drop off at the San Pedro Air Strip.
