We paid for ocean view which they gave away. Then they gave us the 2 worst rooms I have ever seen. Stay somewhere else all we got was lip service

Dec 28, 2025Bait and Switch
We booked this reservation for a King Ocean View room in March of 2025 for 6 nights. We just checked in at 2:30 pm and were told that they overbooked and we could not not get the ocean view we booked and they could give us a pool view. We are on the first floor overlooking the walkway TO the pool. We enlisted the help of management but she was of no help. Thus is very poor business practice and we will never stay here again.

Dec 26, 2025Don't expect peace and quiet!
This is a very large resort, with some positives and a few negatives. A lot depends upon your age and what you're looking for. POSITIVES: The room couldn't be better and ours (2038) had a view of the ocean and was kept spotlessly clean by Jose C. Rios. Cleaning is daily, which we REALLY appreciated. Two bottles of water were provided each day which, again, was VERY appreciated. The room has everything you need: clothing steamer, magnifying mirror, great coffee service, wine glasses, large shower, bathrobes etc. NEGATIVES: a HUGE negative is the noise at the pool. There is an ear-blasting DJ playing all day, so don't plan on relaxing with your book or even having a conversation with your family. We had rented one of the cabanas, but found we couldn't even talk with one another and so we cancelled it. We never returned to the pool. It's not just the music--it's the pounding music. There are two different buildings and the floors don't match, involving the changing of elevators. It was confusing and it was only on the last day that I could find my way around. A simple solution would be to have a few signs pointing, for example, in the general direction of the restaurant. Room service on the first night took two hours and the lovely woman delivering it apologized for the wait and for the fact that they ran out of tables. On the second try it was only 45 minutes and with lovely service. Bottom line: It depends on what you like. I'm sure some people love the pounding music. Not us. I wouldn't return.
