Wyndham Grand Cancun – All Inclusive We stayed at Wyndham Grand Cancun from December 21st to December 28th. This hotel is advertised as a 4-star property, but unfortunately, based on our experience, we would rate it no higher than a 3-star hotel. The staff are generally friendly and polite, but they often appear unmotivated, tired, and not very service-oriented. Restaurants & Breakfast There is no coffee service at the table. The only option is coffee from a thermos, and there is no barista-style coffee available, unlike what you can order in the lobby. This is a big minus for us. The tea water is lukewarm, and every single day we had to ask for plain/natural yogurt, which felt almost intentionally withheld. Plates are rarely cleared from the tables during breakfast. They usually remain until you leave, which means that with four people at a table, many dirty plates pile up and look unhygienic for the next guests. Bacon is only offered when breakfast is almost over, which feels poorly planned. Hotel Lobby & Room Issue When we asked for help to change rooms after receiving one with a very high shower edge and a slippery stone floor directly outside the shower, the lobby staff didn’t even know where our room was located. Our 6-year-old daughter almost slipped and hit the back of her head when stepping out of the shower — it was a very close call and felt unsafe. Housekeeping Rooms are swept with a broom instead of being vacuumed, which means hair from previous guests remains on the floor. We found black hair that clearly did not belong to us. Towels were replaced daily, which was good, but the bed linens were not changed once during our entire one-week stay. Beach Area The ocean is absolutely wonderful, with great waves to jump into — truly beautiful. However, a major downside is that the beach area in front of the bar is not cleaned. We found sanitary pads, bottle caps, and other trash and plastic left among the sunbeds. This could easily be fixed with basic daily raking and would significantly raise the standard. As it is now, it feels dirty and neglected. Overall Impression We are Europeans and have traveled extensively in Turkey, Greece, Spain, and Italy. While service standards can vary, the level of service here was unfortunately lower than what we are used to — even compared to hotels with similar or lower ratings. Sadly, we would not return, as we do not feel the hotel is worth the price. That said, we did enjoy valuable family time together. It was fun to see all the iguanas around the property, the Mexican food by the pool was good, and the Christmas experience on December 25th with the Grinch/Santa and elves was a big plus, especially for children. The staff are kind people — the hotel management and standards are the main issue. Now we are moving on to new adventures in Mexico! Thanks Eresco for the margaritas 🎉

the fun of a lifetime
Jesus, Danny, Luis, and whiskey did a great job with all the activity and made it really fun to be around them. They made me have a lot of fun with playing volleyball and everything. It was a really fun vacation with a lot of kid friendly activity and making everyone feel included
