Convenient and 5 star customer service
Can't say enough good things about this hotel!!!! So convenient to Disney Springs (5 min walk) and easy shuttle to the parks. Loved the convenience of the coffee shop in the lobby as well. The staff was so friendly and so helpful. Unfortunately my rental car got a flat and the valet provided me resources and checked in on me. The rental car company continued to be an issue and the hotel manager ended up going above his call of duty and helping get in contact with the company. Class acts all around, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The convenience speaks for itself and the customer service was 5 stars!!!
Could have been 5 star.
This would have got 5 stars had it not been let down by the valeting staff "organising " transportation. My sister and I stayed at the hotel in November 2022. On two occasions transportation to a nearby restaurant was arranged via the valeting staff. We asked them if they would arrange transport for the return, and they agreed to do so. On neither occasion did the return transport turn up! Had it not been for the good offices of another restaurant in arranging transport back to our hotel we would have been left stranded. The final straw came at the end of our stay. Transport had already been arranged to take us to the airport. Because of a lack of care by the valeting staff, my suitcase was left behind at the hotel. The hotel refused to send the case to the airport to join us, and instead advised me that they would eMail me with instructions on having it returned "by post". This they did, and it was returned a cost to me of nearly 400 USD.
This may have "Disney" below its name but that's were the magic ends. Stay somewhere else.
We were here for my daughter's sports tournament at ESPN. This front desk staff in this place needs a serious customer service retraining. Aside from that, the rooms are very small and when I saw small mean SMALL. Theres no room for suitcases and the 2 double beds. The bathrooms ceilings are MAYBE 7ft tall, putting the shower head just under 6ft.. There is no BATHROOM ventilation. We also had 2 days with luke warm water because the hotel pumps were not working correctly or so they said. That was great in the middle of a sports tournament. This is great if you drop your kids off and leave but for adults showering is an event. I've been on cruise ships with bigger bathrooms. My camper has a bigger shower. You can't use the toilet without hitting the wall. You can see daylight around the entry door so i guess thats how they make up for it. Yes the door faces outside. The charging ports by the beds didn't work and there was food left in the refrigerator and trash wrappers next to the bed. Sweat or worse stains on the furniture. We went to the front desk to inquire about what to do with the parking lot being full and were greeted by a masked woman with "what's up?". It wasnt even worth trying to move rooms. The manager standing right nexr to her absolutely not a peep from her. After spending $200+ a night for a room you'd expect some sort of professionalism and cleanliness. The parking wasn't explained when we checked in but they were sure to charge for parking and push the valet. Resort fees and parking are add ons so beware. Basically you're paying over $50 a day to park and use the pool. There's not much else for the charge unless you count being asked if you got your coupon booked EVERYTIME you walk past the "welcome desk". The breakfast buffet is $27 including gratuity. The only smile you get is from the person pouring your orange juice. The onsite " breakfast buffet" is bagged scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, roasted potatoes (which includes purple and sweet potatoes) I guess that was the attempt to be fancy. Theres some assorted fruits, basically everything thats given for free at a Marriot or Howard Johnsons. Micky waffles are there if you're looking to Disney it up and you can choose to make you're own omelet. Go to Publix and get some pastries for breakfast you'll save a bundle. You can also get a buffet at half of the cost anywhere in Orlando. I almost forgot to mention the diesel truck deliveries all hours of the night, the safety back up beepers were great 1am and 6am alarm clocks. The 8am house keeping knock reminding us to check out was fantastic as well. This is after they left the new toilet paper roll on the tub edge the day before, they couldnt even be bothered to put it on the roller that was empty. The sewer pump out truck coming in was quite the experience as it filled the place with a wonderful odor. The staff using the elevators to move garbage and prevent guests from using them was the coup de gras. I am not sure where the people with positive reviews stayed but I took a couple of pics to show the truth. Although we have stayed in Disney many many times, this was our first time here and it is not a hotel that we will willingly go back too.
Great mix of price, proximity, and amenities
We travel to WDW several times, per year, and the Wyndham Garden has become our go-to. It's cheap, but clean, with great amenities, and is right next to Disney Springs. Could we stay on property? Sure. The Magic Kingdom and EPCOT hotels are walk-on close to the parks, and are wonderful resorts. But at those prices? No. We'll stay at the Garden, do our Springs visits on the way to the hotel, and go more often.
I know picking a hotel is all about location and this one is great. The resort was very clean and the grounds very well kept. The room was kept very well and again clean, however... The beds were as hard as a rock and the sheets & towels were extremely "scratchy" My 18yo son who sleeps on futons & college dorm mattresses said his back hurt after two nights on those slate slabs. My hips hurt a lot every night also. Also. beware of the parking fee of $22 a night. Overall a very nice resort right in the heart of Disney and a easy walk to Disney Springs.
