Great location, excellent holiday overall but tired dated rooms!
Just returned from 14 days at World Quest resort. Couple of negatives but overall we had an excellent holiday… Negative points: I noticed that at the reception area there is a sign that states World Quest is a Disney “Good Neighbour” hotel. This isn’t strictly true and guests who stay here do not receive the same early park access as Disney hotel guests. There is a list of the current “Good Neighbour” hotels online confirming those who are entitled to these benefits and World Quest is no longer on there, (maybe it used to be previously) so the sign on the front desk should really be taken down as it’s misleading. Before we arrived I noticed a lot of negative comments about resort being dirty and dated and I was quite anxious about staying here. So much so I emailed in advance to request a refurbished room on a high floor. I was assured via email that by the time we arrived ALL of the apartments would have been refurbished and not to worry. So I have to say that I was a little disappointed when we were allocated an extremely dark and dingy room on the 1st floor of building 5. So it wasn’t strictly true was I was told in email. I think it’s hit and miss and luck of the draw as to which room you get. We saw inside of 2 rooms and from what we saw in other windows every room seems to be of a very similar standard . I guess the staff on the desk must find it difficult to deal with so many customers complaining about the decor so this is a stock answer they give to everyone…..The first room we were given had a damp musty smell and the sofa was filthy. Worst of all the “view” was terrible and of an extractor fan! I went back to reception to ask if there were any refurbished rooms free on a high floor as I had requested. So we were then given a room on the 5th floor of building 4 instead. It was 4-504. The decor in this room was exactly the same, very dated, old, tired and the rooms all really do need renovating which is a shame because it wouldn’t take much to freshen the rooms up to a more modern standard. However the high floor made the place feel better and the view helped. We were not likely to be in the apartment much during our stay, it was a base to sleep, shower and have breakfast so we accepted the 2nd room. The positives: We couldn’t believe the amount of space we had and a much better view of the lake! We saw Alligators at turtles here which you don’t always see from your bedroom window!! Our Children loved spotting the wildlife! The apartment was huge, 3 bedrooms for just the 4 of us, a huge lounge and dining area, well equipped kitchen with everything needed to prepare breakfasts and a couple of meals after the parks. The rest of the time we ate out or used Uber Eats for takeaway deliveries. The appliances were all old, but they worked fine. The washer dryer was newer and that was a great added bonus. There was a large fridge freezer with ice maker, an oven, coffee maker, iron/ ironing board, vacuum cleaner etc. Everything you need for a comfortable 14 night stay. Bedrooms had huge very comfortable beds, the Master bedroom had a spa bath and his and hers separate basin areas. The place was huge and ideal for families who don’t want to feel all cramped into a hotel room for 2 weeks. Thankfully it was also very clean so that made me feel reassured about staying here. I checked the beds and surfaces before accepting the 2nd room and couldn’t find anything unacceptable. The maintenance staff empty the bins daily and replace towels and sheets upon request but we were happy to just wash them as as when needed. Customer service here is also great and they did check in on us via text to check everything was fine. The safe wasn’t working at first and this was fixed straight away. Another huge bonus staying here was the proximity to Disney. We didn’t rent a car this time and just used Ubers and we spent less doing this than the cost of car hire and parking at the parks. Ubers were so easy to use. Pool area was nice. Again could do with some new covers for the sun loungers. The ones they have a brown and old but again seem clean. There is a hot tub too which was nice to relax in after a long day in the parks. We would rate this place 5 stars if they refurbished the rooms as they keep promising to do. Such a shame as it has potential to be the perfect location.

Brilliant spacious apartments but they need some work.
We book a package holiday to Orlando through TUI and picked this place as we wanted a big apartment for us, our daughter and her boyfriend so we could all have plenty of space. It was a surprise holiday for them both for their 21st birthdays! Ahead of going I emailed the hotel explaining this and asking if poss for an apartment with a pool view and wondering if they could pop some balloons in the room for us, no problem they said, which was great! However when we arrived we were given a lovely big apartment (albeit in need of an update), but it was the furtherest block away on the complex with a lake view, and there were no balloons. I called reception and asked and they explained it had been overlooked and they were super sorry and if we could give them 30 mins they’d sort it out and move us. Which they did! So fair play. Only issue was the surprise was kind of ruined by then but nevermind. When we got to our new room, again it was huge!! These apartments really are so spacious and are simply perfect for families. But they definitely need some work doing and a good update. We even had a door fall off in our apartment, they fixed it off course, but even so, it shouldn’t be be left to get so bad I don’t think. But that aside, as I say really great for families! We had 3 bedrooms, one master with en-suite (enormous!) and another bathroom, lounge, dining area and kitchen, and a balcony. We never once felt on top of each other we had so much room. Location wise, with a hire car this is perfect. If you’re there, like us, for the parks, then this place is great. 10-20 mins and you’re at most off them. 1hr ish to Busch Gardens. There’s nothing to walk out to, but there’s a little shop on site which is handy. So you really do need a car for shopping, days and nights out. The pool area is lovely with a little bar there. We only used this once as we were pretty much out all the time, but it when we did use it is was great! (We had tried - couple of days before but it was closed for cleaning after a little person had a little accident!) Overall I’d honestly say this place is really good and the apartments are impressive in terms of space, if they had a good refurb then it would have been 5 stars for sure!!

Villa feel with service included 10/10
Cannot fault this resort. Location is perfect, grounds are well presented, staff are polite and friendly. Checking in was quick and simple, free coffee available everyday at reception. Pool area is beautiful, water is a nice temperature, lots of sunbeds and parasols available. Pool bar is decent and well priced, towels are well stocked and private showers are also available. Rooms are very well presented, we stayed in building 3 and apart from a slight issue with the Airton which was fixed within 10 mins after a quick phone call to the front desk we couldn't fault it. Beds are lovely and comfortable, extra pillows available on request. 2 separate bathrooms with hydro tub each room has tv and ceiling fan too. Lounge area consists of 2 sofas dining table tv and dvd player and exterior patio set overlooking the lake (in our room) breakfast bar too. Lots of cable channels available and a handy print out of channel numbers too. Kitchen area is well stocked - Coffee machine and toaster, full refrigerator (with ice maker) cooker, microwave, dishwasher plus cookware and cutlery, only thing missing was a pizza cutter. Welcome pack includes tide and softener for the washer (dryer also available) plus washing liquid for dishwasher, coffee and sweetener too.

Needs renovations
The staff was very friendly but the rooms felt old and dirty: I went to shower the day I was leaving and the handle fell off and I couldn’t shower before my flight. I called to ask for a credit or money off my room but because I booked through TripAdvisor nothing could be done.

WorldQuest Orlando Resort is our home away from home.
We've been staying there every year since 2015. I love the location. It's perfect if you happen to be running in the runDisney races at Walt Disney World because they have a washer and dryer, separate bedrooms, and a full kitchen. So you don't wake up your family when you have to get ready and eat a little something before the races. Plus it is just minutes around the corner from Epcot. We recently went on vacation to a different resort and once we arrived at that resort, we didn't feel like we were at home so we booked a room at the WorldQuest and spent the rest of our vacation there instead. It's a quiet little getaway which is less than 10 minutes from the parks. The bartender at the Tiki bar was always so pleasant and the staff at the WorldQuest are wonderful. The rooms are always very clean and very spacious. I especially love sitting out on my screened-in balcony to enjoy my morning coffee. With teens now, it's great that everyone has a space to chill when we are at the hotel rather than being in a room with 2 queen beds and no place to get out of each other's hair. It's also a great resort if traveling with extended family. Everyone can have their own room and bathrooms so it's easier and faster to get ready to head to the parks.
