Nice little bit of paradise
This was our first time visiting St. Lucia and we can't say enough. The island is beautiful and people are among the friendliest we've met on any vacation! We were surprised upon arrival to be upgraded to a 1 bedroom villa which had amazing ocean views. The resort is definitely hilly! Thankfully, they have a shuttle that takes you from your villa to main lobby in minutes. If you have bad knees, the stairs to some villas are very steep. They have rubber bracelets that you wear for your key which was nice snd easy. We were on the all-inclusive plan and so glad we were! Prices are very expensive otherwise and we got to enjoy ourselves without stressing about cost. The only downfall was having to sign our check after each purchase. There has to be a better system. Food at all the restaurants was delicious. Everyone greeted us by name at each restaurant. Breakfast buffet had a nice variety but you should definitely try the sit down breakfast at Papa Don's at least once! Cora at 96 Degrees and Elijah at Jammers were our favorite bartenders! He makes a great chocolate martini! When my husband and I weren't feeling well, Elijah kindly offered to make and deliver us some ginger tea. The beach was beautiful. You had to walk a little ways down the beach to swim in the designated area as there are sea urchins found in front of the main beach. But it wasn't a deal breaker. Loved their lounge chair reservation system for the week. You didn't have to wake up at the crack of dawn to reserve chairs. You had your palapa/umbrella and chairs all set for you each day until 10am. The cushiony lounge chairs were the best we've ever had and you could lay on them all day without pain. Hopefully you get a chance to use the water sports equipment. Anthony took us out for a sailboat ride. He'll take good care you! Kayaks were fun too! Volleyball on the beach was my husband's favorite activity each day. He met lots of fun people! The nightlife could use more excitement. They had live music each night, but that was about it. No shows. This is a time share place and there are lots of owners who come each year. Surprisingly, we were not hounded to purchase, which we were happy about. Overall, a great resort for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful beach.

A very civilized experience at the Landing
We stayed at WL ten years ago, in a hilltop villa (4 of us) and had an excellent visit. We'd heard that things were not quite as good now (a few reviews online) but decided to give it a shot anyway. We booked 6 nights, all inclusive, in a hilltop villa with pool (sleeps 4). The place looked great, the people were lovely, the weather decent (a shower each day) and the food very good and very varied - we ate in all the restaurants. Least good, we thought, was the Italian (Pap Don's). The live music was outstanding. The beds were comfy, the hot water hot and the shuttles came quickly. One thing that stands out is that there was lots of room, lots of loungers to lie on and lots of people very willing to help. What a great way to spend a week! Not specially cheap, but definitely worth it.

Wonderful experience
My finance and had a wonderful time at the spa. We were welcome with herbal, which was delicious. The Spa manager Mrs Hippolyte, was very friendly and pleasant. We enjoyed the steam rooms and had a very relaxing couple massage where I had my finance to experience the hot stone back massage which he enjoyed. Our MassageTherapists was Miss Shirmine and Miss Stephanie who was very professional and friendly. The other ladies at the spa was very welcoming also. We will definitely go back when we visit St Lucia again. Thank you very much. See you soon

Best massages known to man!
I look forward to the whole experience at Serenity Spa every year. The therapists are the best I’ve ever had. The oils are delightful and every knot has gone. I hate it when the treatment ends!! Huge shout out to Bediana for my treatment today. Hugely recommend adding on the scalp treatment- it is a dream.

Much To Like (+ a few suggestions)
We had a mostly "very good" experience at WJL this year. Many lovely upgrades have been undertaken over the last couple of years at the resort -- especially in the common areas (e.g. a brand new main pool and surrounding terrace, new pool/beach loungers and umbrellas everywhere, new towel huts, some new gym and beach volleyball equipment, refreshed restaurants (notably Upper Deck and Jammers) plus the main lobby plus the concierge cabin for the Ocean Point Villas etc. I appreciate that all of these upgrades must have been very costly for the hotel to undertake. It's important to give credit where credit is due. WJL is re-investing in the resort in a meaningful and strategic way and these significant improvements must be lauded. However, I have two cautionary notes to make to the WJL Management: 1. The Ocean Point Villas (after 10 years) are looking tired and a tad shabby. These Villas are the "Jewels in the Crown" at WJL and, as such, need to be maintained at a very high level in order to sustain their prestige status and pricing. In our unit alone, one finds: chipped paint; scratched furniture; stained fabric on soft furnishings; motorized drapes that no longer work; kitchen cupboards that are well past their prime; drawers that do not open/close as they should; louvred ceilings on the lower outdoor terrace which no longer operate to block or welcome the sun; and, there is a non-working fridge on the upper terrace This situation has been getting progressively worse in recent years. As we hit the decade mark since these high-end Villas were built, it's time to reinvest in these Ocean Point Villas (imho); and, 2. Food prices have gone crazy. Starting February 1, 2025, the All-Inclusive rate has jumped significantly to $205 USD per person per day (inclusive of sales tax and service charges). If you are a huge eater and/or drinker, this price-point might make sense. If you choose not to do All-Inclusive, you'll find that the pricing for the à la carte menu has equally sky-rocketed. In many cases, prices for individual dishes have doubled from 5 years ago. If the individual price increase is less drastic, you'll discover that the portion size will have shrunk and/or the items formerly included as part of the dish are now separate add-ons. WJL needs to be careful that they are not driving their guests to eat elsewhere on the island to find more affordable meal options. I understand that food prices have risen worldwide. I also appreciate that, as an island in the Caribbean, the vast majority of food offerings need to be imported with significant transport costs factored into the final pricing. However, notwithstanding those realities, $22 (USD) cocktails and $100 (USD) steaks are more than a bit excessive. WJL is a wonderful family-oriented resort set on a scenic bay with white villas spilling down a pictureque mountainside replete with palm trees, lush privacy hedges and flowering bushes. The grounds are well cared-for and the beach area is always neat and well-maintained. The water sports offerings are amazing. The gym and spa are popular for good reason and the staff, throughout the resort, are friendly and always well-intentioned. The tennis courts are terrific (but will need some TLC soon) and the fitness classes are well-run and good fun. All in all, I recommend a stay at WJL as it has much to offer. I also encourage the Management at WJL to consider the two points above as these issues are becoming distractions from what might otherwise be a 10/10 vacation experience. I wish you well with your ongoing efforts to make WJL the top vacation destination in the Caribbean.
