    Good amenities but housekeeping needs work

    We have been owners since 2017 at TC but haven’t had the chance to make it to Florida so we have used our time at other WG. We do love the amenities here at TC but I am disappointed with our room… we stayed in the 5500 building which is rentevated but was filthy the floors left our feet completely black they did provide a mop but it’s a sponge mop and does nothing for the types of flooring in the unit we purchased a microfiber mop and cleaned the floors with bleach and it’s still layers of dirt. They need vacuums instead of brooms too my toddlers asked for shoes because their feet were getting dirty it took days for us to get the floor decently clean where your feet weren’t turning black. The jet tub in the master didnt have hot water. If traveling with young kids be prepared the rooms aren’t child friendly at all whatsoever… the doors unlock with the turn of the knob, cabinet knobs are sharp sprinklers left our patio wet daily. The cookware was bare minimum we had to purchase pans to cook the few dinners we cooked in the unit. We did like the amenities though and you really don’t have to leave the resort if you didn’t want to. I will say I was disappointed with each playground we visited they are In need of a facelift for sure. I hope In the future more attention will go into the cleanliness of the rooms!

    Relaxing

    The staff was friendly and great, but the perks and promises weren't all held up during our owners presentation. The amenities were a breathof fresh air. The room wasn't the one we expected and we didn't get our late check in as promised.

    Sad

    We like deluxe and are willing to pay for that. So we paid over $2500 to come 9000 miles from Scotland and were put in sub standard accommodation. We complained and 4 days later we were re located to a newer accommodation which was smart and clean. Very sad start to holiday and no one cared. Customers should be compensated for their disapointment. See photographs of the first accommodation assigned to us. It says it all.

    Not for adults and would recommend another vacation villa with in the Florida state .only geared to family with child

    To many kids not a place for adults on vacation , I was told to leave the premises to smoke as there’s no destination to smoke within the vila . Won’t be back an won’t be spending anymore money within the villa community

    Sadly Wouldn’t Stay Again

    I had high hopes for this resort just from living in the area and knowing the reputation of Westgate. My husband and I took our two year old twins here for the weekend to enjoy the water park. The resort itself is great. There are numerous heated pools, activities, restaurants and of course the water park. The disappointment comes from the room. The size of it was perfect, we had a one bedroom suite. When you pay a decent amount of money for a room you expect it to be clean, and this was not. My toddlers had their shoes off for maybe 5-10 minutes and they were black with dirt (picture attached). Not only were the floors dirty but the bathroom looked like it had urine drops all around it. We had to clean it ourselves with the mop we found in the closet. Following the dirty floors, we found several metal balls on the floor of the bedroom that one of my toddlers could have easily swallowed. They almost looked like BB pellets or something (picture attached). I find it hard to believe these would have been there if the floor was vacuumed. The icing on the cake was when my husband had his phone flashlight on, which happened to shine through the comforter when I lifted it, and I saw how dirty it was. The comforter looked so gross and dirty (picture also attached). We had a room that had the option to be conjoining and you could hear every conversation of the neighbor. Every time they came in the room, yelled something to each other, laughed, we could hear and it was very disturbing. Also, the couch was incredibly uncomfortable. Check in was super surprising due to how long the line was. I stood in line for over 45 minutes to check in which took time out from being able to go to the water park before it closed. Again, the resort itself is nice but I wouldn’t stay here again for the sheer fact of how dirty the room was.
