Did not know what to expect when booking the Wayfinder.Traveled with my wife I Ruth. The location is on the Ali Wai Canal and close to the mall, zoo and the main tourist zones. The setting of the hotel is open and very inviting. Very attentive staff the minute you walk in. The staff make you feel as if you are home and are very friendly. Wan Yee is so helpful and always smiling made us feel comfortable. The restaurant is inviting, the pool staff are friendly, and we just feel like the service is a step beyond the Hyatt and Marriott. Stop at the lost and found bar too, Valarie was fun and friendly. Boutique is the word I'm looking for. Attentive, consistent smiles, not big corporation feel, great ammenties and service. Give the Wayfinder a try.. We loved it enough we plan on returning soon. RT

Merry Merry
Repeat guest at this property in Waikiki, it continues to offer a great blend of local authentic vibe with welcoming front-desk team and overall great staff effort. Especially liked those festive seasonal holiday trees in lobby and with the local Hawaiian flair - coming back in 2026!

One night staycation for work Xmas party, didn’t want to drive home to north shore. Pet friendly!
Had a great mini staycation at the wayfinder! Cute and cozy pool area tucked away whilst still being right in Waikiki. Loved that it is dog friendly, and so did my good boy Hank. Will def be back!

You should not book anywhere else!
The Wayfinder hotel has an incredible staff. Kind, welcoming, efficient, and thorough. We felt at home. Plus, the food is actually really good! I was surprised. Some complained of elevator issues but management has to rely on the availability of techs to fix the issue! We seriously loved our stay and would definitely choose to stay here again.

Loud rooms, you can hear ALL the road Boise so be warned if you are a light sleeper. One elevator is broken so there was always a long to use the working elevator. Be prepared, the pool is COLD (and that's coming from a group that is used to cold weather). Didn't feel like a 4 star hotel stay.
