Dec 11, 2025One night staycation for work Xmas party, didn’t want to drive home to north shore. Pet friendly!
Had a great mini staycation at the wayfinder! Cute and cozy pool area tucked away whilst still being right in Waikiki. Loved that it is dog friendly, and so did my good boy Hank. Will def be back!

You should not book anywhere else!
The Wayfinder hotel has an incredible staff. Kind, welcoming, efficient, and thorough. We felt at home. Plus, the food is actually really good! I was surprised. Some complained of elevator issues but management has to rely on the availability of techs to fix the issue! We seriously loved our stay and would definitely choose to stay here again.

Loud rooms, you can hear ALL the road Boise so be warned if you are a light sleeper. One elevator is broken so there was always a long to use the working elevator. Be prepared, the pool is COLD (and that's coming from a group that is used to cold weather). Didn't feel like a 4 star hotel stay.

Splendid Surprise
We had a wonderful time at the Wayfinder. It was a great way to spend time in Honolulu. The rooms were very spacious, clean and well decorated and furnished with a Hawaiian theme with beautiful views. The beds and pillows were perfect. So comfortable. The hotel is a 2 block, 10 minute, walk to Waikiki beach and great shopping and cruising areas. There are many major hotels in the area but we are so glad we stayed here. Even though we were in amongst the hustle and bustle of Waikiki beach, the hotel managed to be peaceful and relaxing. The staff are all excellent and friendly. We never had any negative experiences from staff. We'd like to give a special recognition to Emiko at the front desk. She was so helpful and I mean beyond normal expectations. She had all the answers for us and did everything possible to make our stay easy and enjoyable. Thank you so much Emiko. The environment was very calm with beautiful Hawaiian breezes especially in the pool area which provided great loungers and a great bar. The food in the restaurant was top notch. Five star. We stayed here two nights then went on a Hawaiian cruise around all of the islands and came back to the Wayfinder for 2 more nights after the cruise. Believe me there wasn't any food on the cruise ship for the whole week that could match the food we enjoyed in the Redfish Restaurant. Everything was so flavorful and reasonably priced too. We cannot imagine a better value for our money spent in any of the other hotels in all of Honolulu. If we go back to Hawaii we'll bring friends and we'll book the Wayfinder.

My Stay at Wayfinder, Dec 2025
Overall, my stay at the hotel was fine, nothing more. I’d say it was reasonably acceptable considering the price-quality ratio and the convenient location. Only having one working elevator made going up and down pretty uncomfortable — the waits were long and it was almost always crowded. The restaurant was just okay. The menu is quite limited, and on our last two days we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated, even though there were plenty of empty tables. The room itself was a good size and felt cozy. However, for the first two days the shower only had lukewarm water; it never got properly hot. Fortunately, that was eventually fixed. A coffee maker and a microwave/oven would be great additions to the room. The staff were always very friendly and attentive.
