    Disappointed at W Hotel

My mom invited my husband & me & had paid with her points. At the front desk I gave my credit card for food & beverage, the rooms we were given we had to walk 25 to 30 stairs going underground with no elevator! We were told that is all they have, neither my mom or my husband could walk the stairs so when we are leaving, an extremely Rude & Impolite manger Ms YOLANI MUNOZ told me she charged my credit card for 2 rooms ! I had nothing to do with the reservation ! Will never go back 😕

    Rowdy Wedding Guests

Cons: The hotel needs to invest on improving the main road the hotel sits on. They should also find a way to keep rowdy wedding parties from taking over the whole hotel and disrupting the peace of other hotel guests at all hours. Personally I felt the quality in service decline as a result of the large wedding party. At least let other guests know ahead of time to plan accordingly and not book while weddings are going on. Pros: Amazing staff across the board. They are all genuinely friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Laura, Luis, Alberto, El Six, Fernando, Ulises and to everyone else who made my stay even more magical!! The food here does not disappoint! Highly recommend asking the staff for suggestions you will be amazed by the special meals they have curated. Overall avoid wedding weekends and you will be in for the best experience.

Beautiful property & location, uneven food quality

Pros: Location is so tranquil and beautiful. The beach is possibly the nicest I've seen in Mexico. Mostly great staff. Decent Elite recognition. Lovely suites. Variety of ceviches at Chevycheria. Cons: While there is a variety of options for food, some of the quality is terrible (including room service). Poor choices for real mexican food. Its a gorgeous property, it never felt overcrowded when we were there. The beach is possibly the nicest I've visited at a resort in Mexico (not rocky like the one at St Regis). Some families but mostly adults. We had booked an Oasis suite, didn't get any upgrade beyond that as Platinum. Suite could use a bit of fixing up (jacuzzi looked dirty) but the location and view made up for everything. We had a ton of ceviches from Chevycheria. Did not enjoy Spice Market (over-priced, over-sauced) or dinners at Venazu. Basic things like tacos were ok, breakfast spread for elites was decent. Room service was often flat-out failure (see the "grilled cheese sandwich" pic). For these rates, I would expect better food.

W Punta de Mita - a place to be

Ricardo, Ives, Daniel, Jesus and David were awesome. Great times, excellent service. We love to stay here and will hopefully see everyone back here soon! We highly recommend the resort - food and service are hard to beat. Close to a bunch of cool spots and some great spots for ocean fun too. Get here! Gracias amigos.

Amazing October visit - The staff made the difference!

Honestly, we had pretty much given up on Mexico in general but we decided to give it one more shot based on the Punta de Mita location and reviews. We've been all over the other resort regions including Puerta Vallarta over the years but had heard that the new development in this area was offering beautiful, new resorts. At our original initial introduction to the resort, we were told that they built the property in the Jungle and that they are allowing the Jungle to take it back. I love that imagery and really felt it while walking the resort. The Hotel was not at full capacity on our off week visit but it was a very hot week in Oct. . It was nice to have space to spread out and relax. Trendy and well appointed room, bed and linens. The swim-able beach and common areas are beautiful, the dining and bar offerings were really wonderful. When traveling, we usually make a point to explore the surrounds but we decided not to leave the resort and have no regrets. We truly, truly relaxed! What made this week stand out was the service and training of the W Staff. Every single touchpoint was friendly, helpful and professional. It was obvious that they cared that our experience be a good one. Special shout out to F&B Manager Jorge!!!! You are doing a great job. Thank you for making our trip so special!!!! We will be back and hope to see you again!
