Shabby Chic with Top Staff
This resort is an older facility which has some quirks and could use a complete renovation. But the warm and helpful staff, and excellent food and drink, make this a destination not to be missed. I’ve travelled extensively and I have never experienced the level of hospitality and genuine desire to please, except maybe at The Breakers in Palm Beach. Don’t expect luxury in the infrastructure, but do expect indulgence in every other way.

Great for a long weekend mother-daughter trip
Wonderful small-medium size resort with amazing guest-service. Quiet beach and two pools that were uncrowded in September. Both restaurants on-site were delicious - we are all of our breakfasts and two dinners at the Mexican restaurants and we’re never disappointed. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Hope to be back soon!

Service, hotel, food great…beach not great
The hotel is nice, service was excellent. The grounds are beautiful and nicely landscaped. I am only giving 4 stars for the beach. It has lots of trash on it, it is rocky, and the water was brown. This could be the time of year, as it is the rainy season. My husband is AE with Marriott, so we were able to enjoy the spa amenities for no charge, 1 hour a day. The spa pool is really nice and in the middle of the jungle. We did get massages and the experience was excellent. Breakfast was very good…especially the conchals! The fish tacos by the beach were the best we had on the trip (we tried a lot in sayulita on a taco tour). We had dinner twice at Veracruz and it was good. Prices are high, but that is expected at a resort. We went into Sayulita and Punta Mita and both were fun towns and offered lots of restaurant options. If the beach is important to you, I would check out another place.

W resort and their staff is awesome.
Great room ocean views and service. You can hear the sounds of the ocean as you sleep. Much thanks to Carlos at the front desk for the upgraded room and the nice complimentary Paloma cocktail. Leo the bell man was awesome and explained how to get around the resort. Dinner at Venazu was great. Excellent service from the staff and our waitress Gabi was fantastic.

The best resort in the area
The best 5 star hotel in the area for under $600 per night. Great service, amazing design and perfect location. Spa was great along with detox massage. Food was amazing at Spice market! I put W on very top with Four season and St Regis in the area. Those just cost more and four season has slightly better view for suits.
