Best in Barcelona
My partner had been telling me how amazing the W Bacerlona is.... And for good reason. Our stay was memorable and out of this world fantastic. From the suite with a seaview to the breakfast, the bar, the amenities, the staff... Say that again. THE STAFF!!! The staff are so welcoming and lovely. From Claudio, to Violetta, to Jenny, to Bruno, to Duban, to Melina, to Olinda who is in charge of the pool area and lights up any space she is ever in. Then there is also Louisa who concocted this perfect cocktail for us and we named it the Sunny Wolf. Our weekend was just perfect and this is all thanks to W Barcelona. We will be back soon. P. S. If you are looking for a cool, trendy and chic place to stay in Barcelona, the W hotel must be your place of choice. Any visit to Barcelona won't be the same if you are not staying at the W. Once there, you are hooked and part of the family.

Disappointing visit
We started by being forced to pay a room that was already paid in full cause I didn’t bring the same credit card. No apologies from the hotel, “it’s our policy…” Saturday morning 6 am wake up call for a transfer that was not for me Sunday morning crowded breakfast restaurant, needed to wait 30 minutes to enter and then many of the items were already exhausted (items as basic as bread). I believe this is not the kind of attention one would expect from a 5-star luxury hotel, when you’re paying more than 700 euros per day.

Too slow WiFi
WiFi connection is extremely slow, and it’s not only slow but disconnecting all the time. The alternative network W-Insider does not help at all. The hotel can’t fix this problem for the whole week. At lobby it’s a bit better, but you don’t have WiFi in room

Too slow WiFi which is disconnecting all the time
Please, do something with WiFi connection, its either extremely slow or disconnecting all the time. All networks: WHotels_Guest, WHotels_Public and W - Insider are very slow… This lasts for the third day. I was offered to join W - Insider network, but its same slow…

W = well . . . ???
The Good: * Every contact with W employees, via room service, restaurants, etc., they'll ask about any pending issues or requests. * Lovely and cordial hostess (Cynthia) * Cool and attentive bartender (Miquel) served my favorite tonic. * Great views * Plentiful breakfast options (extra $) The Not so Good - Glass door at entry way misaligned, jams against wall, does not close - WiFi cast from laptop to TV not connecting - Missing trash can upon check-in. - Ceiling leaking in hallway for two days, hall carpet soaked - Room change after water shut off on entire 8th floor for unknown problems. Maybe related to leaky ceiling. - New room had similar glass door issue, overlapping glass doors between toilet and shower. - New room's tub also had shabby workmanship. - The bench at the foot of the bed was visibly soiled. - These new energy efficient lighting is pretty worthless for shaving, even with the makeup mirror. - The a/c cooled but never heated the room on cooler nights. It wasn't a deal breaker but I did expect better for the price.
