Just returned from a week at this property.We stayed here a few years back and have also stayed at the Azteca, the sister property a few doors down. Overall, stay was good and the beach fronting this property is amazing.Buffet is good always a plenty of variety to chose from.Rooms are basic but clean.The starbucks like coffee shop and staff are amazing. Biggest complaint, is connectivity. Worst hotel we have stayed in for wi fi anywhere ..., extremely poor for any resort property promoting wifi inclusion in 2026.Only works in the room and selected areas of the hotel and certainly not at the beach and main buffet.Get more band width or upgrade your wifi!!!!! Tried a couple of the a la cartes (Portofino and Mexican)....waste of time....buffet is way better.Service in the Mexican was especially poor and waiter by the name of Marcos needs more hospitality training. Property beach location in playacar is definitely main selling feature.Nice property but would look at other options like the RIUs next door for next visit to playacar.

Perfect getaway for the family and beach lovers
Me my wife and our two kids had the best trip ever! Perfect little getaway that has something for everyone. What made this trip the most memorable was the amazing staff and animation team! The whole entertainment team always made sure everyday was full of amazing activities and fun things to do. Especially want to thank Ricardo and Willy they made our trip so much fun, made us smile and laugh everyday, never a dull moment with them! Also Want to thank Eduardo from the sports team. He was extremely helpful in the gym with great tips and helped me so much with archery. He went above and beyond it was greatly appreciated. And also big thanks to Antonio in the buffet for taking care of us so well. We were always greeted with a song and he showed so much love and kindness to the kids he is amazing! In addition to this the shows and dancers were super high calibre and always entertaining. Oh and the kids club was better than anywhere I've been. Not because it was fancy as it was actually not much in terms of a big pool with slides or playground but in terms of the service it was unmatched. I wish I could remember the names of the lady's who watched our kids they were so wonderful. They constantly made sure they were doing something fun. From arts and crafts to taking them around to the theatre and buffet and swimming. I've never had such good care and organization for the kids club anywhere else. The staff all around here is what makes the experience for sure! And moving on to the actual resort itself: THE BEACH• If it's a beautful turquoise ocean with perfect white sand it's hard to beat! And amidst the sargassum issue across Mexico we were blessed with barely any during our whole week stay. Even when there was a day when sargassum came, the resort worked really hard to remove it all making everyday a perfect day for swim. FOOD• You here alot about buffets being repetitive but I mean it's to be expected with somethings. I think the food was really good and with two people on deck at all times to make omelettes and eggs and bacon is always the way to go. Restaurants we had were Cosmopolitan and Portofino. I always went for steak options and the fillets were amazing. Always tender and perfect. The outdoor beach restaurant was nice to have not just pizza and dogs but also healthier options like fresh salad and fruit as well as some other offerings you would find in buffet. The fire roasted pizzas were on the go from morning till night which was great especially for the kids. ROOMS• good condition and always clean no leaks. As expected and tbh don't spend much time at all in there just to sleep but more than acceptable at this value. EXTRAS• free trapeze classes and archery is a nice bonus and the gym has all you need for a good workout and even a sauna! Overall if you beach is your thing look no further. If you want a nice and easy resort to walk around that has plenty of fun activities and great entertainment for you and family this place is definitely recommended. Will definitely coming back!

The food was excellent. The staff especially Omar, Miguel and Anusel was incredible and really took care of us.
