Super fun experience
We love the entertainment group at this hotel! Everyone is so friendly and they put the guests needs first. Reyes from the buffet, Gregorio from the sports bar, as well as Alan from guest services stood out and were above and beyond. Would love to come back!

Good but not great.
Stayed May 1 to May 8, 2023. Stayed in room 1229. Nice size room with two double beds that were quite firm, which we like. Good air conditioning and fridge and all bathroom fixtures worked well. My spouse found the air conditioning loud, but if you sleep with a fan or white noise machine it should be fine. "Juliet" style balcony, on our second floor room, which was not big enough to sit on, but had a shaded canopy view. Room cleaning was great for the first four days and then spotty for the last three days. Beach was beautiful with lots of loungers available. Pool was good, but not enough loungers, and the ones in the shade were taken up quickly. Food at buffet was good but repetitive, with little variation. Snack bar was good as well. Asian restaurant was OK and Italian was very good, so much so that we booked there twice. Booking a la carte was easy, we just downloaded the hotel app and did it on line. Bar staff was efficient, but liquor was all bottom shelf and mix for fruit drinks was all from powdered mixes. Good mix of people, about two thirds European, the rest from Canada, US, Mexico and elsewhere. Staff was overall good, but ran the gambit, from friendly and personable to almost surly. We did not visit the Viva Wyndham Maya, though we had access to that resort and it was only a 10 15 minute walk away. Final analysis is that we will likely not return. Good stay for what we paid, but the lack of balcony to sit out on and quality of the drinks are the main reason that this was not a four star review.
