  Missing Personal Items, Poor Housekeeping, and Inadequate Room Storage

  Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent stay at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites. On the second day of my stay, I discovered that personal items belonging to me went missing from my room without my authorization or consent. I immediately reported the incident to the front desk, and a documentary report was completed listing the missing items. However, to date, the hotel has failed to provide any follow-up, official response, or resolution, which I find extremely concerning. In addition to the disappearance of my personal belongings, I would like to highlight several other serious issues experienced during my stay: • Poor housekeeping services, with the room inadequately cleaned and poorly maintained; • Room layout unsuitable for an extended stay, due to the lack of proper closets and an insufficient number of drawers, making it difficult to store clothes and personal belongings; • Personal items discarded without my consent or authorization, representing a serious breach of privacy and disregard for guest property. I would also like to formally note that I spoke in person with the hotel manager, Mr. Jordi Pérez, regarding this matter. Unfortunately, during our conversation, he did not demonstrate any genuine interest in resolving the issue, and the interaction gave the clear impression that the priority was simply to end the conversation rather than address the problem or provide support. Additionally, I spoke with Mr. Jeremy Letebetter from hotel security, whose responses were limited to repeating previously provided statements, without offering any concrete assistance, updates, or solutions. I entrusted my belongings to the hotel expecting a basic standard of care, professionalism, and security, which was unfortunately not met. The lack of any effective response after the formal report was filed has only worsened the situation. I respectfully request an immediate investigation, a formal written response, and an appropriate resolution, including clarification regarding the whereabouts of my belongings, as well as compensatory measures proportional to the inconvenience and losses suffered. I look forward to your prompt response.

  First time staying at dockside

  Stayed 12th /19th of november.this was my first time staying at the dockside. Friendly staff and helpful. I wasnt happy with my room coz the view wasnt the best .so I phoned guest services and went back to reception and they changed my room which was on higher floor facing international drive which was much better .dockside is a lovely hotel with 2 fab pools .pier 8 market which is convenient for something to eat or drink .universal shop. A good shuttle to the universal parks .I ride stop outside .the only thing I would say I wish they had a gate near international drive coz you got walk along way around specially if you got mobility problems. Had a lovely week stay at dockside .

  Everything we could need

  Cannot fault this hotel. 5/5 for us, everything we could of asked for and more! We travelled November 2025 with our 2.5yr old. For a week. We were placed on the 14th floor in tower 2 and our room was modern and spacious with a window that ran pretty much floor to ceiling that our little boy liked to sit and eat his breakfast at. Every member of staff I personally encountered was both friendly and helpful they made such a fuss of my little boy and he loved it! There were two pools one at tower 1 and one at tower 2 but both a short walk. They open at 9am and tower 1 has a splash pad. We only went in tower 2 pool and it was fantastic shallow all the way round with a pool bar for drinks The food was actually great and I hadn’t seen many people soeaking about it. We ate here a lot due to our little boy coming back for naps etc. we had the BLT which was spicy and lovely. The pizza the wings the mozzarella sandwich honestly so handy and really nice. The buses were just amazing we never waited longer than 10 minutes either from hotel or from city walk. And it was less than 10 mins on bus. We would absolutely look at this hotel again for future trips

  Excellent!

  Rooms are large, like the separate sink and toilet and bath. Queen sizes beds that are so comfy. Slept so well. Shampoo and Conditioner provided which are good and also bars of soap. Housekeeping is just making the bed and emptying bins and clean towels. We stayed two weeks and would of liked clean sheets after a week and the floor was in need of a sweep. The toilet seat came off the toilet so went down to luggage services where I was told to go and they kept on asking for photo ID and a hard copy ie my passport to fix the seat! I had my room key so could see i was staying there! Fix the seat!!! which it was done that day but what a hassle. The pool was heated a bit could of been a bit warmer and was very shallow max was 4 foot. Food in Pier 8 was ok. Pasta was really good. We found our room quiet maybe we got lucky with good neighbours! Hotel was very clean everywhere. Was also nice having Starbucks in the hotel it was slightly more expensive then in the parks and the ques in the morning were long. Shuttle buses to the park excellent never really had to wait. Overall great stay and would come back here again.

  VERY poor security and customer services that you would expect more from Universal who can afford to invest more to ensure the s

  We stayed at this hotel in November 25 for 2 weeks. The hotel seriously lacks security, we had our car broken into 1 week into the holiday whilst parked on their car park along with over 10 other vehicles, for which we were paying $26 plus tax per night. The head of security's first response was nothing to do with him as he wasn't on duty, he could phone the police if we wanted or we could do it ourselves. We asked him to phone the police who arrived very quickly and helped sort a case number for the car insurance. We got no help whatsoever from any of the staff at Endless Summer, there was glass all inside the car that we then had to drive to the rental company to swap , no offer of any means to clean this up, there was no apology from anyone at Endless Summer there was no check up to see if we were ok and managed to sort the car, no follow up at all. The worrying thing was, that security admitted that there was no CCTV in the dark parking garages and security was minimal around the hotel car park, this was apparently due to the hotel having good links with the local police, yet over 10 vehicles still got broken into with no CCTV evidence. The week before the incident car park barriers were left up regularly and if you did need to press the button to get in, barriers were opened with no questions asked, locks on the pedestrian security gates were also broken. For 2 days following the incident security was increased, with cars parked around the car park, this didnt last long though. When we left I asked if I could make a formal complaint and was told there wasn't any process, but I could speak to a Supervisor, whose first response was it wasn't anything to do with her as she wasn't on duty at the time, I tried to speak with a Manager but was told due to the holiday season things were behind. I had to insist on getting contact details for a manager in order to e-mail a complaint. If you value the safety of your family and your possessions then I would avoid this hotel as security was practically non existent and staff were more interested in covering their own backs than offering even the most basic help to their paying guests.
