Absolutely lived our stay
Our stay at TRS Coral was truly an amazing experience. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with stunning surroundings and so many things to do that every day felt special. Everything from the atmosphere to the service made this trip unforgettable. A special thank you to Christ and Jose for taking such great care of us and going the extra mile to make our stay even more memorable. It was truly the best vacation, and we can’t wait to come back

Mar 06, 2026Great staff, but the food and logistics are inconsistent
The Good Stuff: Huge shoutout to Mar and Chef Soto! We did the sushi class with them and also went on the trajinera and it was easily the highlight of our trip. There were only two other people on the boat there which felt a bit weird, but the music was cool and Mar and Soto are just fantastic people, they made it a blast. Also, Victor at Capricho was an amazing waiter (we had him twice and just great service from him), and Gabriel from room service was super professional and quick with his deliveries. Check-in and check-out were also a breeze, and we never had an issue finding a seat at the pool or beach (though the umbrellas are a pain to get up). The Not-So-Good: The food was a major disappointment, specifically the steaks. El Gaucho was not good at all and they do not give you proper steak knives. My girlfriend got the ribeye and ended up with bad stomach problems the next couple days. Even the room service steaks were poor, so I think "steak" on this property should be avoided. We actually found the food at the Capricho and isla blanca buffet to be way better than the sit down reservation spots. Speaking of reservations, we were there for 5 nights and could not even get into the French restaurant, which is wild and disappointing. A few other things that were annoying: The Butler situation: Our butler kept changing. It was not a huge deal until the new ones had no idea about the reservations the previous one had already made. The Map & Info: The resort map is useless and totally out of date. It does not show the beach bar (which has totally random opening times), and the daily list info sent they never tell you that you can head over to the grand palladium side for events. Entertainment: The TRS "DJ events" were dead nobody was there. We found the outdoor theater much cooler, but they don't really promote those events since that is on the grand palladium side. Maintenance: Our room had two sinks; one would not drain and the other had a leaky faucet. Room Service: It takes forever for them to come back and collect the dirty dishes. Also, a tip for early risers: they say the lobby coffee bar opens at 6:00 AM, but it definitely was not open when I went down there for a latte. Lastly, the whole dress code does not make sense since they talk about it a lot but do not actually enforce it, which is fine, but it makes the "rules" feel a bit pointless. Overall, the people are great, but for the price, the food quality at sit down restaurants, and communication need work.

Honeymoon trip
Great trip the butler and maid as well as the restraints are great. Favorite was the steak house and Mexican restaurant. The severs made it great
