Hector and Ivan took our stay ti the next level. From decorating my son's room for his birthday to resolving our luggage issue, they were both fabulous! I sincerely hope the hotel does not move to e.butlers as the personal touch is so much better. Thanks again for a great trip! We stayed in 02048 and 02049.

The worst resort we’ve stayed at in Cancun, Mexico and we’ve been coming twice a year for the past three years. We got this trip last minute, and felt the Google pictures and reviews were great enough to try it out. Instant regret when we pulled up, and had to wait 3 hours for our room. I understand how housekeeping works, but the resort was 25% at capacity, and talking to the manager explaining how tired we were from flying - they didn’t make any exceptions. We paid extra for VIP (black bracelets) and they never told us we were VIP. We spent the whole trip not realizing we can use their cabanas and private pool areas. We realized only on the last day when another couple mentioned they paid $3K for 8 nights! I’m shocked the front desk receptionist did not tell us our benefits because we over paid $3K for only 3 nights. The staff in general have no idea what they’re doing. We had to ask 7-8 workers for directions to finally reach the buffet. The food is atrocious and this is coming from someone who eats Kraft Mac and cheese. The buffets including reservation restaurants and poolside bars are all terrible with the exception of the Poseidon buffet which I felt was the most decent out of all but still ranks 5/10. I’ve genuinely never had food this terrible in any Cancun resort we’ve stayed at before. During our lunch at the buffet, my husband asked for hot tea and the waiter said they don’t have hot water. I haven’t heard that one before! The service is slow everywhere, at the pool it’ll be either they forget your order, or you have to wait 30 min minimum for an order. The only thing good about this resort is the views and architecture. Rooms can be better, and hallways/furniture can be cleaned and replaced. All in all, we will never come back here and for the price we paid $750 a night, I would add the extra $50 and stay at XCARTE which is a 10/10 mind blowing resort. Do better TRS!

TRS Coral is a good all inclusive resort overall. The resort is beautifully designed and the rooms are comfy and relaxing. The Zentropia spa was our favorite part of the stay and the massage and hydrotherapy were wonderful and revitalizing. While these were the highlights of our stay there are many areas where our experience could be improved. The biggest issue was with the quality of the food. While each dinner restaurants had some solid options for entrees, there were a lot of misses across the board. The quality of bread for example across all the restaurants were lack luster and pastas were subpar. The Japanese sushi experience at Sumptori was the biggest miss. The quality of fish was very low and the food was not authentic. The team could hire a sushi expert to revamp the menu. The meat quality at most restaurants were decent especially the steak. Adelita’s and the Italian restaurant stood out as favorites among the overall restaurants. Would love to see improvements at all restaurants to really create a luxury all inclusive resort experience.

Butler service at TRS is amazing.
A lot of hit and miss at this resort but the butler service is 10/10. We had Jose and Christopher in building 1 and they took care of us our entire stay.

Speedy service by the pool
We had the most impressive service from our server ‘speedy Gonzalez’ poolside for lunch. The only server on staff for the entire east section of the pool during lunch hour, Speedy was gracious, helpful, patient and delivered exactly what we wanted for drinks and food despite the large number of orders in queue. Extremely pleasant with a bit of humility and humour- we were happy with service and food/drink quality. Thank you Speedy!
