    Out dated hotel!!!

The Tropicana Hotel should be totally renovated! The website is misleading, hotel airport shuttle is not provided and the main hotel tower is closed with no available rooms or balconies! The hotel needs a makeover!

It had a very vibrant 70s/80s decor, with great views on the airport and the strip but amenities weren’t great. I thought the room was too cold and the shower head didn’t even work right. I wouldn’t book here if you have better options. Keep in mind I didn’t go anywhere for the one day I stayed so had better time hanging out in different hotels on the strip in the room. This one was one of the worst. Tv didn’t work well and the two other things that would have made this room more comfortable also weren’t functioning properly.

Stay anywhere else but here for Las Vegas

Stay anywhere else in Las Vegas but here. The staff are disinterested and unhelpful. Not a real Hilton branded hotel and seriously tarnishing the brand. On check in there was an issue with membership not being recognised, our room not being serviced and housekeeping and management inferring that we were lying when they said there was a do not disturb sign on the door. We were out for more than 12 hours and no attempt made to clean the room. No explanation by management and no real attempt to resolve the situation with any urgency - the customer does not come first in this shambolic operation. The room had not been serviced properly before we checked in as there was a dirty towel left behind, and a constant drip from the bath tap was intrusive. I’ve stayed at this hotel on three previous occasions with no issues however it’s clear that as the hotel will be closing and torn down, no one is interested in any kind of service that benefits the customer. Avoid at all costs.

HORRIBLE. We're Hilton members who have stayed at Hilton hotels all over the world. We normally love Hilton, as their consistency and quality is always top notch. We have also stayed at multiple Vegas Hilton hotels. This hotel was beyond disappointing. First, the room has no curtains. Being Vegas, this means you have bright lights coming into your room all night and the bright sunlight all morning. No consistent or deep sleep. Next, the room has no fridge, which means you can't bring back leftovers. There's also no microwave and no coffee maker. We usually get water bottles upon arrival, and were disappointed to see tiny, snack sized bottles instead of the standard, regular size we normally get (water bottles aren't expensive and to see they were even too cheap to provide these...'cmon now). There were about 6 working channels on the tv, of which only half worked consistently. Second, the pool and hot tub were closed the entire stay. The pool may be closed for the season, but there's no reason the hot tub can't be open well into winter months. Oh, and there's no room service. Third, the hotel smells terrible. It's a mix between an old hotel smell and rancid smoke from cigarettes. Given the obvious fact that Hilton has done nothing to upkeep this hotel leads me to believe they have no oxygen/filteration system. I had a sore throat the entire weekend here and often had headaches. When you look at the hotel from the street, you can see all of the hanging, broken windows that they haven't even bothered to seal or remove. The complete decomposition of this hotel is insane given the cost of the rooms. We were told that this hotel will be torn down soon, so it's understandable Hilton wouldn't invest in expensive upgrades. But to completely disinvest in a hotel people are still paying to stay in is inexcusable. The worst part of the whole stay was the fact that our rates plus tax were nearly $350 a night. It feels like robbery knowing how unkempt this hotel is. The ONLY redeeming quality this hotel has is the delicious food, but we would NEVER stay here again

This hotel was a joke. Let’s start with the outside. It was completely dilapidated, with paint peeling, the window shutters falling off, tiny windows, making the rooms, dark and drab. The rooms were outdated and smelled musty from years of cigarette, smoke liquor and possibly poor cleaning. The mattresses were comfortable and the sheets were clean. The shower barely trickled out. The obsolete wooden slats over the windows made the room devoid of light. They were thick and heavy, and would stick when we tried to open them. The staff were rushed. When we asked questions about places to eat or Hilton Honors, since this is a Hilton hotel, they had no clue what we were talking about. Most spoke little English. One staff member said they would bring up, a blanket and some water bottles so we didn’t have to come down and get them, nobody ever came. Many of the restaurants inside the hotel were closed, or had strange hours. The pool was closed the entire time we were there, which we were never told. Be prepared for a long walk from the front desk to reach the elevators for your room. At least the elevators were fast. The hotel is located at the very far end of the strip. It has no shuttle from the airport and the monorail doesn’t come to Tropicana. This hotel may have been amazing back in the 50s and 60s, but now it is a thing of the past. Luckily, it is up for demolition next year. We found out that the price we paid for this room was equal to the room price of quite a few other hotels.
