Great anniversary trip.
We have just returned from our first trip to Belfast. We stayed at this lovely hotel as we were visiting the Titanic museum which is next door. This hotel is steeped in Titanic history and is a gem. Food is amazing and the staff are a credit. Nothing is too much trouble. It was our 20th wedding anniversary and had a lovely surprise in our room when we arrived. The room itself was a great size. Spotlessly clean and the bathroom was fantastic. One complaint, bed was too comfy so was hard to leave. We will most certainly be back and will come for longer next time.

This was such an over priced experience
We found this to be an over priced experience. To book a meal in the restaurant we except to pay a supplement for the steak but having to pay an extra 3 pounds plus to get a sauce either garlic butter or peppercorn to accompany the steak and when it does come out there is so little of it. Normally a side choice of sauce comes with a steak. The price of a drink in the bar from bar staff who are too busy talking amoung themselves to even bother with u. Won't be returning

'Being Busy' is no excuse for poor service
We arrived just before 3pm and there was a queue from the reception desk to the entrance door . Only one person was working the front desk. When we finally got seen I asked the receptionist why she was on her own she snapped 'we're very busy' ...considering the extortionate price of the rooms I would've thought they could afford enough staff to cover the holiday season. Unfortunately the hospitality didn't get any better. We had booked for the weekend. A birthday treat for my husband, a Titanic fanatic, he'd been looking forward to it for months .... when we finally got into the room it was freezing....not cold but freezing. So cold in fact we briefly wondered if it was part of the Titanic experience. There was no welcome pack nothing to explain how the complicated heating works. I called down to ask for help ....15 minutes before anyone picked up the phone ...15 minutes. Apparently there's a website with a link to a link to a link that explains how the heating works. I would suggest they turn on the heating prior to the guests arriving but they're 'very busy' apparently. Trying to get served in the downstairs bar/restaurant is pretty difficult too. It was never packed but the staff didn't seem interested in serving.... maybe they were just too busy. When we went out the following morning we asked for the room to be serviced ... when we returned the bed had been made but nothing else had been touched , dirty plates glasses etc remained on the table ...we had to ask for the room to be serviced properly. The room cost well over £700 for the two nights it's not to much to ask for it to be serviced is it? The breakfast, which we were warned was 'not included' was just ...ok, in fact everything here was just ...ok. For a four star hotel that claims 'history and hospitality' as its main selling points it's failing on at least one of them. To be fair the historical paraphernalia is actually really good but there's a smugness to this hotel that is off putting and unearned. Belfast is a great city full of amazing food, brilliant exhibitions and wonderful hotels. The Titanic needs to up its game. ' Being busy' is no excuse for poor service.

Excellent accommodation.
Overall experience was great from arrival to departure. We had a tasty breakfast but to have no local breads available was a sin. Soda, wheaten, etc etc. why not? The eggs and tomatoes you have to order separately arrive when you’ve finished the rest of your fry. A bit pointless really. But that said we had a great time and yes we’d happily return.
