    Wedding and guests staying

We had the pleasure of getting married at this hotel on December 5th. The wedding was organised brilliantly from start to finish. All our guests who stayed at the hotel could not say enough about how wonderful the hotel and how lovely the rooms were. Gail the wedding organiser is incredible and made us feel so special from start to finish also Victoria the wedding organiser who organised everything for us. All I can say is if your thinking of staying there and particularly if you're thinking of getting married there, go for it don't hesitate you won't regret it.

    Average

Just back from a one night, was delighted our room was ready before the 4pm checkin time stated. Reception staff were all lovely and very helpful The room was a bit chilly but heated up fast We booked a deluxe double, spacious - very cosy big bed and great pillows The travel cot too also had very cosy mattress We went for dinner in the bar - food was average. One member of staff in particular Kytrasyna (not spelled correctly) yeah not even sure why she there - brutal bad Sean was just lovely and very good. Breakfast food was not that great either.

Customer service a real let down

Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms (interlinking) were well appointed and very clean and bedding, comfort of bed, first class. However, the room I stayed in with my 5 year old daughter, the floor to ceiling curtains didn't pull over, no automation, no cords. No force on earth could move them. Thankfully, after speaking to receptionist, on our return, they were perfectly drawn. The noise from the old rickety sash windows was shocking. We were overlooking a carpark where, on a Saturday morning, workers were resurfacing the carpark at 7am. It sounded like we were in the carpark with them. I put white noise loudly on my phone to drown it out and thankfully, got another hours sleep. They really need to put in double glazing. The windows had our en suite absolutely freezing. You could have aged meat in there. Young staff at the bar and informal dining were so disinterested, it was rather infuriating. A lovely young lady supervisor got us a table in the completely empty room between the bar and restaurant, which I didn't understand why it wasn't offered in the first place. All in all, for the price, lack of amenities onsite, pool etc, poor customer service, it really wasn't worth the money. Luckily, we were only there for the night as attending a show at the amazing Odessey Arena. It's just as well it's close to this amazing venue otherwise I don't think it would still be open. If they upgraded the tired awful windows and gave the staff some major customer service training, it's a great hotel in the making. Food in the bar was lovely, although very small portions and took an hour to get it out. They really don't like giving up much of their bread with their soup! Quality food none the less.

    A lovely visit - we’ll go back!

We loved our stay here, having looked forward to it as part of our first trip to the city. Very convenient to get to from the City airport and city centre. We had an Executive room with breakfast which we got on a winter deal. It was lovely and spacious and airy, and a great view of the dock. Slightly draughty but that is old buildings for you! The bed was huge and very comfortable and cosy. For an executive room I would have liked to have a dressing table with plugs etc for hair and makeup but we were only there a night so not a big deal. Staff were friendly. The bar is quite expensive but it was a lovely setting. The breakfast was good - but as with buffets the food was not as hot as we’d have liked. There was good choice though and freshly cooked eggs if we wanted. £19 extra for breakfast if not included with your room - quite expensive for what it was! We would definitely go back but probably wouldn’t want to pay more than we did in the sale price as I’d expect more.

    Not just for Titanic buffs

I very much liked this hotel. It is in the old offices of Harland and Wolfe, the shipbuilders that built the Titanic and directly opposite the Titanic Museum. The hotel and rooms have a Titanic theme but it is actually quite subtle. My room was big and had a view of the current Harland and Wolfe shipyard although there did not seem to be any ships being built. Reception staff were very helpful and the bars and public rooms are bright and airy. It was a very comfortable place to stay, and not just for Titanic buffs. The only drawback is that, although handy to the museum, the hotel is about a 25 min walk from the centre of the city.
