Great Stay at Westin LAX
Had not stayed here in several years, really glad that I booked this stay. The location is convenient to LAX and the South Bay. The hotel has been remodeled and was very comfortable, great bed. Rates were really good, parking pricy self or valet. Nice breakfast in Club Lounge. For sure will return this year.

Good option for self parking, club lounge is good for breakfast
It’s hard to find hotels in central areas in LA that have self-parking. While $55 a night is steep, the convenience is worth it not to always have to valet. There’s been some upgrades to the room since we last stayed a year ago, and for those who are platinum +, the lounge is now located by the elevators in the lobby floor. The breakfast is surprisingly good- scrambled eggs, hash browns, pancakes and sausage. Plus cold cuts and cheese, and pastries and bread. Didn’t make it to see what the appetizers at night are, but they’re still charging for alcohol (the wine is in one of those machines that automates the pours based on how much you want to spend). I didn’t get to check out the pool, but overall not a bad hotel near the airport.

Extortion
Firstly, I was told at check out that the paid voucher from my Travel Agent is merely a reservation. I tried to explain that the rest of my friends booked the exact package. Their vouchers were the same yet they were not asked to pay. I was told to contact my Agent in London which was clearly not possible due to the time difference. On my return, I noticed that £7.64 was charged to my credit card. I sent 3 emails to Westin for an explanation but receive no response to date!

No room service 😡
A large property missing one important service: room service. That’s right, the Westin LAX does not offer room service. You can order food from your room (by phone or Marriott app), but you have to go down to the first floor restaurant (Daily Grill) and pick up and pay for your order at the hostess station. FYI, another Marriott property (LAX Marriott) two blocks away, offers room service for $5.00 each order.

Club Lounge That Does Not Even Offer Water
The club lounge is RIDICULOUS. Arrived Saturday afternoon and got club lounge access by virtue of my Platinum Elite membership. Went to lounge and all beverages including water was locked. A staff member came and said the lounge is open but no food and beverage of any kind is available "it's just a place to chill". I checked with front desk and they said the same thing. What kind of club lounge offers absolutely nothing? Hotel and staff generally fine though.
