Feb 22, 2026Beautiful location and facility and terrific staff, however….
The weather was perfect, the facilities were very nice and it was a great location on seven Mile Beach. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. However, large caution to people looking for a relaxing getaway because this is truly a conference center, which accommodates hundreds of attendees. It was clear that the entire hotel was arranged to meet the needs of those attending the conference and their families, and not the regular guests. If you were there as a couple or a small young family you had to move to the outskirts of the resort to not be in the middle of the social activities of the conference attendees, activities, etc. At times the main lobby and the bar areas outside resembled a fraternity party, making those not part of those activities unable to use the facilities equally. Given the expense, this is not an upscale hotel to go to for a relaxing, pleasant vacation where the hotel focuses on its individual guests.

We just returned from 5 days at the Westin and really enjoyed our stay. Location: heart of Seven Mile Beach. Walkable or quick drive ton of restaurants. Great beach. 15 minutes to the airport. Food: mixed. Everything is pretty good but only Beach House is a stand out. Dan our server was fantastic. Food is pricey (typical of Grand Cayman) but the Kids’s breakfast buffet is a good deal. Adults at $48 USD- not so much. $80 USD for one kid and one adult is crazy. Amenities: gym is just ok. Coffee shop is good but gets really busy. Great stuff for kids- games/balls/toys can be signed out and they have daily activities for kids by the pool (included in the resort fee) and love that Red Sail Sports is in property for rentals and booking catamaran rides Rooms: ok. Good size and everything you need. Bed is comfortable. Booked a standard room on points or have lowly Gold status? You’ll have a great view of the parking lot. Biggest con- every pool and chair will be gone by 7:30am and there will be very few butts in seats. Huge problem and no one really does anything about it. We pre-booked cabanas because we stayed on points, it was worth the price to me. Overall, really enjoyed the property and staff. Very kid friendly. Safe. Great location.

Nice beach, good location but very pricey for what it was
There were pluses and minuses. The beach was great , the location was very good with pharmacy, Cost U Less grocery, liquor store, and a couple of good restaurants almost across the street. The lending library on the 2nd floor was great. The breakfast buffet was really nice with lots of variety. But the hotel itself was tired, stained rugs in elevators, rusted railings on the balcony, and general signs of wear. Service was mixed - doorman was good, but I asked housekeeping for a shower cap and they promised they would bring one and never did. WiFi was spotty. All of this would be fine if the price reflected everything. But it was very expensive for what it was. Resort fees were I think $75 per day. You get access to the sauna and steam room in the spa, but they have a room full of lockers and won’t let you use one unless you buy one of their expensive spa services. That’s cheesy. The fitness room was ok, nothing special . The breakfast was $75 per couple per day. If your package includes breakfast, that’s fine. But if not , it was too much money. Brunch was even more than that. We had to reverse a few charges that they put through that were not accurate. Nothing against the Westin, but at that price we would not be coming back. Ferdinand restaurant dinner was terrible , Tortuga lunch was also not so great

We stayed at the Sunshine Inn and Suites on Grand Cayman Is. It is a couple blocks away from The Westin, a very short stroll. Being a "sister" property, we were entitled to use all the amenities at the Westin. I highly recommend dining at the patio grill, Tortuga. If you eat there or at any of the restaurants, and if you shop at their boutique, you can charge the purchase to your room. Amazing experience! As for the Sunshine Suites, the rooms are great, newly renovated. The Grill is still closed, so we had to go elsewhere to dine. A minor disappointment in an otherwise delightful trip!

Great vacation to Westin Grand Cayman. We can’t brag on the staff enough! Great property
Amazing staff: Leonard, Dee, Elly, Barbara, Anastasia, Jovit, Wendy, Donique, Shaun Adam, Kadeem, Kirk smith were top notch with service. We enjoyed the food, especially outside at Tortuga.
