Mediocre at best
Considering the prices charged, I would have expected more in terms of quality. The pool and beach area were both crowded. The restaurant offered mediocre food that was overpriced. The bar attendants were apparently not trained in customer service. All in all, given all the beautiful places in this world, I would not return to this Westin location.

Westin Happy Hour and Sunset
Westin Happy Hour at Sunset is the place to be in Grand Cayman. Beautiful location along with an amazing team at the bar. Every time I go there, the team is incredibly friendly and genuinely happy, which adds to the overall positive atmosphere. From my most recent visit, I was approached by the team lead, Ollie, where he welcomed me and my family. He chatted with us and ensured we were having a good time which made it a memorable moment. Always looking forward to my next happy hour. Big shout out to an incredible team.

The Grand Cayman Westin or should I say HOJO Express
The hotel was less then to be desired. My traveling partner had pre arranged with the ambassador concierge to have some special upgrades because it was both of our birthdays. The ambassador rep. at the hotel forgot everything and when reminded she threw some breakfast passes and drink tickets at us and said she was so busy and these should suffice. Turns out they never honored all of the coupons and did a pathetic job of making us feel good or special.

Westin Escape
We just returned from 5-nights at the Westin & had a thoroughly enjoyable trip. This was our 5th trip to this property over the years. We were non-rev (as we were on two prior visits), paying with Bonvoy Points. Attempted in advance to redeem a nightly upgrade reward but was denied as was a room upgrade request at the time of check-in. The front-desk staff was not particularly welcoming. You only get one chance to make a good first impression. This had been my observation at prior visits as well. Think about how you would like you arriving guests welcomed. A genuine smile & a sincere thank you for choosing the Westin would go a long way. Offer guests a welcoming beverage while waiting to be processed in. Many guests arrive at or around noon, hours before rooms may be ready. Offer guests the option to change into beach attire in a suitable changing room & enjoy the property while their room is readied. Do not send them to the lobby bathroom for this purpose only if asked. The spa is a short walk & has more spacious & private areas to change or perhaps there is another lobby adjacent area for this purpose. The rest of the staff was excellent, all of them. Other than one night when we strayed off to Kaibo, we never left the resort other than the 4-miles logged each AM up & down SMB. The Beach House, Ferdinand's & the Tortuga Grill were excellent. Please more Steel Drums at Tortuga. Every night if possible. I would never leave. Maybe give Barefoot Man a try (I knew him as Barefoot Boy at the old Holiday Inn in the early 80's). The Lobby Bar staff were mixologists extroidinaire. The lobby bar musical acts were meh. I have had concerns with the frachisee status of this property at prior visits, its relationship with the property across the street, the benefits these guests had at lower costs than Westin guests & the strain this places on Westin resources. This is an issue Pyramid will have to contend with. It mattered little this visit, but was a concern on a past trip. Adding another row of chairs may not always be the answer. Iconic property on the best stretch of SMB. We will most certainly come back. BTW, the rooms with same decor as 2018 & perhaps in need of a decorative refresh. Bathrooms have held up well & the Westin bed is always welcoming. Please upgrade my view next time.

Works WOnders did the trick
It's difficult to put into words the joy, peace, and relaxation we experienced at Wonder Works. Our group of seven, ranging in age from 37 to 73, found something to love at every turn. The well-equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms, and comfortable beds made our stay effortless, with plenty of space for everyone to unwind. The pool was a refreshing retreat, and the free-roaming chickens provided unexpected entertainment. But above all, it was the breathtaking beauty of the place that truly captured our hearts. Grand Cayman is a lovely island with little poverty. The island is surrounded by a barrier reef so the water is gentle. There are so many fun things to do. Our hosts were great and was the management company. We had no issues at all so did not need them. They had communicated beautifully in advance.
