Steps away from the Beach
From the moment we stepped through the hotel doors an incredibly calming air just came over us. We were immediately greeted by Bonvoy representative, Rica, who was so charming and courteous that we instantly felt welcomed. I was traveling with a friend and colleague who lives in Pittsburgh and doesn’t get to ever see the Floridian sun, Rica made sure her room had view of the ocean and gave us a pretty thorough rundown of the hotel layout and the restaurants and bars. She was amazing and was a great start to our stay. There is a beautiful live wall jut before the Lona restaurant that give the hotel modern earthy feel that makes a beautiful companion to the ocean right cross. The hotel is perfectly located with a beautiful ocean view almost from any area in the hotel including from the Starbucks that has a very nice deck area to stare at the waves and the clear blue skies. Unfortunately, I was incredibly windy and a little chillier than usual for South Florida so we were unable to swim, but we were still able to sit out on the beach with our drink and enjoy the salty air. Everyone around the hotel was very friendly and we had a great time. It was clean and we had everything we needed, if anything was forgotten, there is a gift shop of course for little things you might have forgotten. The spa looked very relaxing and had a good variety of treatment options although we did not get to use it this time around. I would definitely stay here again, overall it was great value for money in comparison to some of the other hotels on that strip. Special thank you to Rica at Bonvoy for starting us off right!

Terrible
Extremely expensive. Beware when booking of the mandatory valet parking fee-no option for self parking and also an additional resort fee. Dated hotel and rooms. Bathroom in room has a sliding door with shutter style door (no lock) and a window with shutters in the bathroom that opens to the main room. The shutter style allows smell to escape even when closed and you can hear everything anyone does in the bathroom. Luckily we’ve been married 25 years. A/C broke and was dripping all over the place. Don’t book here.

Top notch service - beautiful location
Jaime at the front desk who checked us in and another lady (sorry I can’t remember her name but it was Thursday evening shift) was fantastic! Very friendly and informative of the area. Each day walking by the front desk everyone was always smiling to say hello - that goes a long way! Room was nice, cleanliness was good - room attendants on 6th floor very nice as well. My only 1 complaint is the doors slam - luckily we get up early but if you want to sleep in at all, it’s difficult with hearing the doors slamming. Location is perfect, can’t beat that.

Gone Down Hill
Immensely disappointed with our stay at the Westin Beach Resort this past weekend. We’ve made this an annual trip for our family to The Westin, and this will be the last time we stay here. The service was just absolutely awful. Nobody answered the phone when we rang down for pillows, towels or anything all weekend. Our room was not attended to once. The restaurant in the hotel leaves you sitting there for over an hour with little to no service. At one point my husband ordered a topo Chico at the bar and the bartender disappeared for 10 minutes only to say she forgot about his topo Chico. It was truly a crazy experience all weekend. We could not wait to leave. It’s honestly sad because this once was a really nice hotel. I’m not sure what happened.

Great Location
Great location within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Lots of amenities. Our oceanfront room was updated and clean. Staff were efficient and friendly. Bathrooms could use some attention. There was a strange “pass thru” opening, covered by a wood shutter, between the bathroom and bedroom resulting in very little privacy. We laughed about it but seriously, it needs attention.
