Outstanding front office staff
The front office staff, in particular Luisa and Irene, were simply outstanding. They helped us leverage our points and status with Marriott Bonvoy in the best possible way. They also provided a valuable orientation for us to the surrounding area. It is rare these days to encounter such professional staff.

Pricey but excellent resort in Ft. Lauderdale!
Pricey but excellent resort in Ft. Lauderdale! This was our first time staying at this hotel and it didn't disappoint. Customer service was excellent throughout and our room was extremely comfortable and clean. The restaurant in the hotel, Lona Cocina Tequileria, is fantastic. We went there for breakfast (don't miss the chorizo, egg, and cheese tacos), drinks, and dinner. The Lona Margarita was one of the best cocktails and best value. The pool area isn't particularly remarkable, but it does have a pool bar and restaurant, and a server can take your order and deliver at your deck chairs so you don't have to go to the bar. A pedestrian bridge connecting the pool deck to the beach was very convenient. Location is tops, as it's on the main drag directly in front of the beach and easy walking to Las Olas Blvd. (we always recommend Rocco's Tacos and Tequila Bar).

We enjoyed our room and the pool. Great stay, Best employee we met was Kevin A down at the beach, accommodating and friendly. Give this man a bonus and a raise. He is the epitome of a 5 star Employee. His energy and character should make management proud to have him as an employee.

Just okay, needs work. Not worthy of resort fee.
First, shout out to David at the front desk.He was very kind, wore his festive holiday gear, and answered all questions. Thank you! The hotel was clean but it is an older hotel and it shows. A few complaints. Upon check-in, we were told that our room wouldn’t be ready until 7 pm. We were only there for two nights so this was a major problem because beach service ends at 5pm. I complained and a few minutes later, I received a call that our room was ready. The bridge walk from the hotel to the beach is closed so we had to pick up and return our beach towels to the pool area on the second floor, then enter and exit from the main entrance on the first floor. Because of this closure, we couldn’t order food service at the beach. To pay a resort fee and receive this kind of service isn’t ideal. Even the employees agreed that there are better beach hotels nearby. The main restaurant served a great breakfast daily. However, the birds were everywhere as they’re accustomed to people. Nice but pricey gift shop..thank you to the sweet lady that let me purchase a needed item at the time of closing. Oh, the rooms were nice but had shutter doors and a shutter window which offers little privacy. Unless you’re with a spouse, you won’t like it. Lastly, people brought their dogs to pee I the rocks near the lobby entrance. Please address this. Probably wouldn’t return.

Wonderful staff and vaca!!!
This was my husband and my 4th stay at the Westin and once again it did not disappoint. We again stayed in room 1235 which has a wonderful view of the pool, street activity and the ocean. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful..The woman who cleaned our room(sorry we didnt get her name) was thorough, friendly and fulfilled any requests we had for her…John the host in the restaurant is perfect for his job..he is very personable and accommodating with the guests.. Daniel the server was also friendly with a constant smile and hustle!!! I dont know if I have ever seen a server work harder and faster than Gilboola whom we met inside at the restaurant one evening…she was not to be our server ..BUT…after hustling by our table several times she noticed that we had not been taken care of yet..she got us drinks and went to the manager to ask if it was OK for her to serve us..I watched her serve food, clean tables and clean dishes in the kitchen..SO..I dont know what her ACTUAL job was for that shift..BUT I do know she took wonderful care of us and we complimented her to the manager!! Hold on to these wonderful workers and many more.. by the way all the meals were super!! Finally Hannah at the front desk could not have been kinder and more helpful..Keep up the good work!! Hope to be back in 2025!! Just please get the pool heater fixed!!!
