Jan 01, 2026Filthy room and poor customer service
Room was not ready at posted check in time, even though we requested early check in. When our room was finally ready we found it was an accessible room, not the room we reserved. The shower drain was clogged with standing water present. The shower floor was filthy with hair and other debris floating in the standing water. When we notified the front desk they did agree to switch our room if we would wait for another room to be cleaned. They offered no apologies nor compensation for the repeated delay. Do not book this hotel expecting Marriott standards.

Smaller hotel - great for just relaxing. Front desk staff were prickly but everyone else, especially the servers were terrific. The pool is 25m and great for swimming. The shampoo and conditioner in the rooms were excellent (but bring your own moisturizer from home). Room was gorgeous and the bed super comfortable. Snorkelling right out front was okay but there was a very strong current (south to north). Recommend fins and a snorkel marker. The best route we found was to head south edging the shore. Lots of small fish and rays and rocks and piers to explore. Once you pass Buccanos, swim out to the grassy open area and drift back. Saw several beautiful large sting rays on the return. Food was excellent - especially the habanero soup, hamburgers, guacamole, ribs, fries, caprese salad, and drinks. We did the snorkle tour with the hotel and it was pretty awful. Currents were too strong to really enjoy the reef and at the end felt like we were held hostage in the boat for tips 50 yards away from the pier. We were going to tip anyway but this made everything very uncomfortable. Here are the fish we saw around the hotel: Yellow stingrays, Bermuda rays, needlefish stingrays, barracuda, parrotfish, tangs, cowfish, trumpetfish, pufferfish, wrasse, jacks, Chubb. The coffee is on the weak side but it was nice to watch the sunrise from our balcony every morning. We left cash tips, versus adding it to our “bills”. No issue with any room charges when we checked out. Overall very relaxing and we even enjoyed the 5km walk to Cozumel.

Amazing as always
I remember going to this resort in 2021, where there was Covid. And I came back this year and I’m still pleased with the service. It’s amazing as i remembered and i was able to go explore more ect. Completely recommend this resort. Thanks to the staff for an amazing experience
