Rest and Relaxation
We had a very relaxing time at the Westin Cape Coral. The hotel is beautifully maintained, our room was huge and luxurious and the restaurant at the hotel was superb. We also enjoyed the fitness faculties and the pools. The staff is friendly, warm and helpful. A very restful and relaxing stay in a beautiful, secluded location.

Excellence at every corner
This was the perfect oasis for our vacation stay. I was ready to move in for life! The decor was warm and inviting, the view was nice- seeing plenty of wildlife, hearing birds and seeing the sailboats moored- even though we were not facing the ocean- was relaxing. Our balcony was like our own little spot of outside to ourselves. The heavenly bed and bedding were definitely heavenly! The room was plenty dark and the heating system fought the outside cold very well, providing a perfect stay.

Disappointing
This hotel is definitely not what’s advertised. At best this it’s a low end Marriott calling itself Westin. While we did have good experiences with a few employees (Adrian- server at dinner and the golf cart driver) most were rude and seemed miserable to be working here. The lobby is quite small, rooms are small and in dire need of an update, and are entered from the outside not inside the hotel plus the location is nothing special (far away from anything, though maybe that’s a plus to others). The beach is 30+ minute drive away though they told my wife there was a boat to the beach we could take (didn’t mention that this had to be secured at the local marina at our expense). Be careful when looking at pictures and reading about their amenities. First, the main pool is tiny for a hotel this size. Be prepared to wake up at 6am to secure a chair or plan on visiting the pool off property via the golf cart when it’s available. Back to the main pool - we secured a couple chairs late afternoon the first day because it had gotten quite foggy and the main crowds had left. There was food and silverware left from guests around and never cleaned up, wet towels laying around the pool and on used unused chairs, filthy bathrooms and no employees in sight (other than the security guard placed outside the gate). Not to mention construction going on so most visible was the giant crane and land mover just outside the gate and between the pool and natural inland water area. Second day we got up earlier hoping to grab a coffee (only regular coffee is available and you need to ask for it “to go” from the main breakfast restaurant) and get seats at the other pool (this pool is located off property within a community of single family homes and condos down the street from the Westin that apparently has an agreement that hotel guests can use). No towels here so you need to bring your own from the other pool. Definitely a nicer pool with more chairs but not convenient like your own hotel and no service or food available. We visited over New Years and planned to use the spa and take the dolphin tour which they advertise on their webpage. Unfortunately Neither were open. My wife had called in advance to inquire on these and even told the front desk / concierge when we’d be there but no one mentioned they’d be closed. A small thing but as Gold members we were not offered a couple bottles of water as we normally are upon checking in and didn’t realize it until that evening. When we asked late the first night the front desk associate rudely told us we could take a single bottle from the refrigerator (for our party of four). Unfortunately we left quite disappointed in our stay.

Very nice property
Westin was once an iconic property but after Starwood bought it, some of the luster was lost. Since Marroitt has taken over, it appears to be returning to its former glory. This property is marvelous. Only drawback is no beach. There are several very nice restaurants in or near the hotel.

Relaxing Marina Runaway
Checked in and were greeted by Anna Marie - Guest Experience Expert- and she certainly lived up to her title. We had a beautiful two bedroom suite overlooking the Marina- beautiful layout- great bed and pillows and awesome screened in balcony. Each night upon our return from dinner she would greet us and even obliged my request to take some great pictures in the lobby which was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The main pool was being repaired so we took the golf cart ride over to the other pools. Had great breakfasts and lunch overlooking the Marina at the Naughty Mermaid! Great drinks too! Loved the complimentary dolphin watch boat ride right from the hotel dock. We were lucky to see several dolphins playing out in the Intercoastal! They were right up against the boat👍👍Thank you Daniel and staff for taking care of our Valet requests. This property is absolutely gorgeous and the staff always went out of their way to greet each of us. You certainly made our stay special! I would definitely recommend this property and plan to be back in the future!
