Lack of service
Not very impressed for a Westin. Rooms are very dated. Room was not serviced, we were out all day and when we got back it was too late to service. There was a used microwave sitting in the hallway the entire time. Management gave us a bar credit but would rather they gave us the service we are use to at Westins.

Excellent Service
Centrally located in downtown Los Angeles, this Westin hotel offered well maintained rooms, convenience, comfort and above all excellent service all-round. A special thank you to the Front Office team – Mr. Ghassan, Ms. Angelie and Ms. Sophie - they were courteous, professional and very attentive to the needs of the guest. Although The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites is not a new hotel, the property is clean, well managed and guest rooms are well cared. What sets this Westin apart is the hotel staff. From the welcoming and friendly valet, to the genuine Front Office associates and Manager who truly cared about the guest and made me feel welcomed. Ms. Angelie and Mr. Ghassan, who collectively helped resolve a room issue went out of their way to provide 5 star service. They were truly professional yet warm. Thank you to this Westin team for the exceptional customer service.

Fine But Not Up to Typical Westins
This hotel was fine for a one-night stay when we needed to be downtown, but it didn’t live up to the experience we’ve had at other Westins. On the plus side, it’s conveniently located for downtown events, efficiently run and provides distinctive architecture. Even though we expected a large, city hotel experience, it still felt relatively industrial. We read about shops and restaurants around the main level, but most of the storefronts were closed, which made it feel more empty than energizing. Their morning breakfast buffet is amazing, including dishes familiar for both the American and Asian clientele. The dining area was noisy, such that the interesting food was accompanied by the constant sounds of kitchen carts and sliver ware restocking. The room was comfortable but dated. One seemingly easy improvement would be to carve out the granite bathroom counter enough to let the toilet lid extend to a fully upright position.

Great Downtown Location in LA
We stayed here during the 1st week of September. The downtown location was convenient for us who opted not to drive in LA. It was close to the train stations and shops. Uber was easily accessible as well. The rooms are clean although it needs a little update. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Special mention to Sophia from the Front desk who assisted us on the check-in. And to Alfredo from the restaurant who helped us with our drink refills and hot coffees during our breakfasts.

He wanted little to be perfect.
Relatively far from the center, in the financial district of the city, with very beautiful modern architecture. It essentially consists of four towers, joined together in the center by the elevator-staircase. The ground floor/reception quite large, luxurious with water channels, fountains. In the center of the building a large bar with a selection of drinks, cold dishes, breakfast and cuisine. The food is very good, that at least I chose. The rooms have large double beds and all the necessary comfort both in the bedroom and in the bathroom. Swimming pool on the fourth floor, comfortable with sunbeds and towels available for bathers. If it was a little closer to the center it would be ideal.
