Stay here:)
We actually stayed at this hotel on two occasions throughout the Christmas season. The first was one night, the night of December 28. We had just arrived from Los Angeles from New Brunswick, Canada. It was our first time in the LA area and we were unsure what to expect. We chose this hotel based on the trip advisor reviews, and its location. We were very impressed with both the hotel and its location. We found the valet parking price quite high, but soon realized it was reasonable for the area and the valet staff was very friendly and efficient. We had a city view which was incredible! And we were able to walk to Angel flight as well as the MOCA and highly recommend that you visit both. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and did not hesitate to bring us extra towels and toilet paper whenever asked throughout our stay. Let me add, although we checked out on December 29 we returned on the 30th and stayed for three nights. We only left on the 30th so that we may travel to Anaheim and visit Disneyland. During our three nights stay, we attended a Lakers game at the crypto.com center, which was easy walking distance. We had dinner at Joey DTLA, which was fabulous and within walking distance. We also walked to and enjoyed the Gloria Molina Park. And, we experienced our first ever Waymo ride. We ate dinner one night in the hotel restaurant located close to the front desk check-in. Our server was lovely although she admitted coming to Canada once and found it too cold to ever return. :) If you’re looking for a place to stay in downtown LA with great customer service, clean rooms, and amenities, and close proximity to many many DTLA experiences than I highly recommend the Westin ! I also want to add; we had a room with two queen beds, which also had two chairs, both of which were occupied almost 100% of the time we had in the room by my husband and my son as they were mesmerized, looking out the window at the view.!

Beautiful and Large Hotel, lacking Breakfast Buffet
We stayed at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles for four nights, during our Rose Parade Trip/Tour. The room was on the 25th floor, efficient elevators, and a very clean room. Quiet too. Good bed, pillows:so-so. However, the fireworks going off on 1/1 and 1/2 is not their fault with a band outside, but the sound machines helped! The breakfast buffet is nice, but boring. I appreciate they kept the Asians in mind, and had tortilla chips and guacamole with salsa (!) ( that is a new one for us) but the hot dishes were the same daily: eggs with chorizo, eggs Benedict, Scrambled eggs (for me) hash browns, boring toast, along bagels (where was the jam?) the fruit was good, and they also had yogurts bran muffins were a 5/10. The lunch and the two dinners served by the restaurant/hotel were very good on 12/31, 1//1, and 1/2. Very good! I give it four out of five stars for the breakfast reason. Large hotel: you can become lost..!

An updated, comfortable, luxurious classic
The Westin Bonaventure is a classic, comfortable and luxurious hotel. The rooms just had a refresh, so it's also gleaming. I love the 1970s modern architecture, which is like stepping into a time capsule of sorts (in a good way -- like you're visiting a cool, updated museum). The best thing about this hotel is the staff: Everyone is super-friendly, from the front desk to housekeeping to the folks working at the various restaurants, including the Cafe Now in the lobby and the fantastic LA Prime steakhouse on the 35th floor. They also recognize Marriott "elite" status consistently -- with upgrades and other nice treatment, which I really appreciate.

Great location and easy parking
We stayed at the Westin for a 3 night stay in LA and it was a great choice. The parking onsite was nice and it was easy to get our car in and out from the valet. The location was perfect for walking around downtown LA or to get on the highway to drive around to the other sites around the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet, we didn't have any issues with our room or amenities. There is plenty of on site food should you need that and it is fun to see all of the movies that were filmed on site or that used the hotel in some fashion like True Lies. For the price, this stay was on par with the experience and I would stay here again if I am in the area for vacation.

Lack of service
Not very impressed for a Westin. Rooms are very dated. Room was not serviced, we were out all day and when we got back it was too late to service. There was a used microwave sitting in the hallway the entire time. Management gave us a bar credit but would rather they gave us the service we are use to at Westins.
