Disappointing Stay Due to Room Issues and Lack of Support
The room we were assigned did not meet expectations. The shower water was cold, the AC was very loud, and the room felt outdated. We had informed the hotel that we were celebrating our 10-year anniversary and that my wife is pregnant, and we requested an upgrade if available. Unfortunately, instead of an upgrade, we were moved to a room that appeared even more outdated and did not resolve the comfort issues. This significantly impacted our stay and overall experience. Staff were generally not nice, attentive or proactive in resolving issues. When we reported ongoing problems, the response was consistently to wait 40+ minutes for a technician each day. While the technician would temporarily fix the issue, it would return shortly after. There was little follow-up, urgency, or effort to provide a lasting solution, which made the experience frustrating and inconvenient.

Decent but left much to be desired
Review I recently stayed at Atlantis for a four-day getaway, hoping to unwind after the holidays and to bring a friend who might consider this casino for future trips. I’ve visited annually for the past five years and have spent a lot here, including earning credits on previous trips. The experience started off well with a punctual limo pickup from the airport, which set a great tone for the visit. Check-in at the casino was smooth, and we were pleased with the room initially. However, the stay was marred by several maintenance issues. The sink was clogged and leaked onto the floor, the toilet wouldn’t flush or kept running, and the door to the room was very stiff and difficult to open. When I spoke with guest services about moving to a different room, I was told there was nothing they could do because it was the busiest time. This left me feeling frustrated and unmet, especially as a loyal guest hoping for a high level of service. My primary host, Darril, (who is an on island host with limited authority) offered apologies but didn’t provide concrete solutions or options to rectify the situation. Communication with him felt spotty, and “I’m so sorry” was about the extent of the help I received. Despite these issues, the trip had some positives—the weather cooperated and we still managed to enjoy parts of the stay. But the overall experience fell short of the standard I’ve come to expect, particularly given my long history with the property and the amount I’ve spent there. As we were leaving, the limo was late to pick us up and arrived at the incorrect tower, which put us about 30 minutes behind schedule at the airport and made for a very stressful departure. Pros: On-time, thoughtful limo service from the airport Smooth check-in Clean common areas and overall atmosphere Cons: Multiple in-room maintenance problems (clogged sink with leaks, faulty toilet, hard-to-open door) Inadequate response from staff when requesting a room change during a busy period Limited, non-solution-focused support from the assigned host (Darril) Limo pickup on departure was late and parked at the wrong tower, causing significant delays and stress Suggestions for the venue: Improve response options when a room is unsatisfactory, including proactive room-change alternatives even during peak times. Ensure maintenance requests are prioritized and resolved promptly, with clear timelines communicated to guests. Provide stronger, action-oriented support from guest relations or hosts, including concrete compensatory options or upgrades when issues arise. Revisit loyalty programs or comps for long-time guests to reinforce trust and encourage continued visits and referrals. Improve departure logistics with reliable, punctual transportation coordination, and accurate tower/terminal pickup to prevent future delays and stress. Overall, I’m still fond of Atlantis but I will certainly consider competitors in the future to entertain the potential Of receiving more accommodating service for future visit visits to Nassau.

Beautiful! Will Return!
Beautiful resort with great rooms, pools, and beaches. The adventure park was fun. The food was mostly good but pricey. Bring your own snacks as the resort convenient stores are more ridiculous prices than the average resort even for example small box of Ritz crackers was almost $15. There is a grocery store with good prices only a 5min walk away across from the Straw Market on the map.

One and done
My family and I try to vacation over the holidays every year. We have not been to the Bahamas yet and chose to stay at The Royal At Atlantis. We are Marriott bonvoy members so we try to stay at a Marriott property. We had heard mixed reviews but we were excited to stay somewhere different. I had not realized how huge this place was. PROS: grounds are well maintained, property has a lot to do for families, and has a lot of places to eat. CONS: Way to crowded, food overall was not very good(except for a couple places), the rooms were worn down even with the recent renovation(my daughter could not take a bath because the tub was peeling and looked gross, and the tub was backing up), service every where was slow, staff seemed uninterested and inauthentic. I am not sure if the Bahamas has better resorts or not but I would not come back. It was a one and done kind of place.

Meh
Facility is fantastic but prices are WAY too expensive for the quality of service and food received. It was good to try once and get it out of our system but won’t likely come back.
