The Portofino is a beautiful hotel with the ocean and sea lions. However, the customer service is at a different level. From Chelsea and Craig and the front desk who make you feel welcome, and do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. They are kind and friendly every time. Then you pull up to valet and Shah and Johnny are the absolute best. Never, have had valet treat you so well and go above and beyond to help you. They have even been leaving while I was arriving late at night, and came back just to park my car. Portofino is lucky to have a team like they do, because it is a reason I come back there (and there is a lot of choices) every time which is at least 4 times a year. I only refer this hotel, to business associates or friends visiting.

Outstanding in every way!
Wonderful hotel with the most professional and caring staff. Every employee interaction was outstanding. Beautiful well kept property. The Baleen restaurant sit right next to the marina with excellent views. California burrito was outstanding. Highly recommend this as to stay. I’ll be back for sure!

Awesome
Both Gregory at the Reception Desk and Johnny from valet made me and my friends’ stay unforgettable. The service these two provided was exceptional from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Gregory was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and made the check-in process smooth and enjoyable, while Johnny went above and beyond to make sure our valet experience was quick and easy every time we came and went. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail truly stood out and made us feel valued as guests. Because of them, our stay was not only comfortable but memorable, and we will absolutely be coming back.

I come here a few times a year for work, and tonight Elisa was at the front desk to check us in . She was very friendly and helpful . Being in the service industry I appreciate this polite and kind behavior ! Thank you Elisa !

Johnny from Valet is the best!
Honestly, I don’t usually write reviews, but I have to say that my amazing experience started as soon as I arrived! I was pulling up with my boyfriend to Valet and this amazingly positive and energetic Valet guy named Johnny greeted us and made as laugh before we even stepped out of the car! The hotel was beautiful and so were the amenities, but honestly the warmth and positive energy that Johnny shared with us every time we went to our car was seriously the cherry on top. We really enjoyed ourselves, and our wonderful experience began with him.
