Oh the view Oh the matress Oh then people is what make it so enjoyable From Carson whom found my phone (I didn't enen know I lost it till ....), Samatha with the welcome smile,Shawnta and her laugh, Mac who was always there for me, John and his personality, Scarlett who kept the whole thing together! What a crew. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT WEEKEND WITH FAMILY.....IT WILL BE REMEMBERED......LAZZ

Friendliest staff around!!
So grateful for the friendly welcome from Carson and Samantha from when we first pulled in! My dad was also staying with us and he can be a little slow and the patience and enthusiasm johnny had was really sweet! Shawnta helped us at the front desk getting some things we needed for our room! The team here is really something… I mean I loved the decorations and the look of the hotel and the beds were great but the team really made it for us! I can’t wait to come back. Mac got our car all packed up and we are happy! The only thing I would’ve changed was the shower head was not detachable but it guessing Samantha or Shawnta might be able to help if that’s a non negotiable, they seem to have a really good pulse on the details what each room is like.

Pool & Hot Tub A+ Common areas (Living Room) A+ Adventure Center (kayak) A+ Staff A+ Elevator A+ Sound insulation in rooms A+ Peaceful / relaxing atmosphere A+ I literally cannot imagine a better stay, especially after having to find last minute accommodations for me and my 2 small dogs due to a maintenance emergency at my apartment. The attention to detail. The personalized attention. Every single thing was perfect. I will be forever grateful for my “staycation” here at the Portofino Hotel & Marina. From the moment I called the hotel after an emergency gas leak situation at my apartment, SAMANTHA jumped into action to do whatever she could to help me and my pups find a place to stay while they were doing repairs. She is an absolutely SUPERSTAR who exemplifies 5-star customer service in every way. The care and attention she gave me from that first panicked phone call until the moment I checked out, as well as alerting other staff to our situation, just proves what a gem she is! Honestly, every single staff I interacted with were amazing but I HAVE to call out a few people because they really deserve a gold star for their kindness, warmth, and attentiveness to me over this past week at Portofino Hotel: ZOHA at the front desk. Her eagerness to ease my stress and help me settle in for my stay. Her ability to make me laugh and start to relax a bit after dealing with such a stressful situation at the apartment. And her surprise delivery gift to my room filled with sweets and suds. What a doll! MIKE ALLEN Restaurant Mgr - due to a mix up in my breakfast order, apologized by sending me a complimentary room service lunch! He did not have to do that, but it goes to show how hard this staff works to provide the best customer service possible! HECTOR - such a fun and outgoing server. Loved his service and attentiveness and warm personality. KIANTE in room service - showed up with a surprise breakfast plate for me. MADE MY DAY!! ANDREW in Room Service - so patient with my insane dogs. Very professional and smooth personality! JOHNNY at the Valet. So unbelievably friendly and helpful. Even came up to me at dinner one night just to say hello. He is such a genuinely nice person who makes you feel so well taken care of! Not to mention his great sense of humor! SHAH at the Valet. Went out of his way to come over to the grass to be friendly and chat while I was out walking my dogs. Such a genuinely nice guy! MAC at Valet. So helpful and efficient and professional. Very kind and patient upon our arrival, as well as very sympathetic to our emergency situation. ALEX at the Living Room bar. He was soo kind to chit chat with me while I sipped at the bar. What a fantastic cool guy and calming presence behind the bar! Last but certainly not least, LORENZA in housekeeping. That woman made me feel like a Princess by keeping my room so nice and tidy and beautiful during my stay with the pups. Who doesn’t appreciate a clean room, freshly made bed, and clean towels daily? She is a wonderful hard worker!!!! All these people and anyone else I may have left out (sorry!) are the TRUE ESSENCE of SUPERIOR customer service and together this team is why people will love their stay at this beautiful and wonderful place and come back again & again.

Perfect get-away
My wife and I stayed at the Portofino Hotel for a friend’s wedding, and it was fantastic. The ballroom had a stunning ocean view, and our room was spacious and beautiful. The South Bay location is perfect, and valet attendant Johnny was exceptionally welcoming. Highly recommend this hotel for weddings or a relaxing vacation—10 out of 10!

Excellent service from Johnny when we left. He was helpful, friendly, fun and happy to take our leaving photo. Also good service when we arrived in the taxi out on the road
