The Portofino hotel was a great experience. Johnny the valet guy was very polite and professional . The hotel should be very happy to have him on there team. He makes guest feel very welcome

Excellence from the get-go!
I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for over a week and was delighted with the staff and property. From the get-go Jonny and Shah at the valet where wonderful and welcoming, moving inside the hotel the attention to detail and continued. Such a great staff and amazing environment lead to a wonderful stay. 10/10 would come again.

Hotel for Memories
My husband and I saw a the Portofino Hotel & Marina Hotel advertised on TikTok and thought it would be a special place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel is on the ocean with scenic room views. The service was exemplary from the moment we pulled up to Valet parking. Once we entered inside the hotel entrance the decor was stunning and very welcoming. Front Desk service was kind, professional and respectful. They were so happy we chose to celebrate our anniversary on the property. Upon entering our room suite the views were breathtaking. Fireplaces, refrigerator and microwave along with a huge bathroom with a bear claw tub and separate room of stand up shower with two shower heads on each end. Just lovely! We had the most amazing stay and highly recommend it for lovers celebrating special occasions. 100/100. A special thanks to the General Manager, Drew Berry for all the special surprises in making our anniversary special. Chelsea Walsh, thanks for coordinating and implementing our special treats. We will remember the Portofino Hotel forever.

Dec 07, 2025ANT INFESTATION & ZERO QUALITY OF SERVICE
I hope this review is useful in your decision making. STORY: I checked in with my wife and 6-month old daughter for the weekend. We woke up to over 100 ants in our bathroom, crawling around the walls, sink, tub, floor, in and out of our personal belongings near the sink. This is not a one-off issue, please reference PRIOR REVIEWS from others about ants/bugs. You can tell from the excessive amount of patchy caulking around corners and cracks that they’ve been fighting this issue in our bathroom for a while. It’s borderline negligent that they would provide this room to a family with a baby, knowing their only solution was to send maintenance up at 8am to spray harmful bug killing chemicals all over the bathroom, with no other offering of alternative solutions. Almost not even worth mentioning at this point, we requested new towels after the ant and spray episode in the morning - we were assured by front desk that someone would be sent up right away. Another call and 2 hours later, my wife finally ended up grabbing the new set of towels herself. SOLUTION FROM PORTOFINO HOTEL: Radio silence through the weekend journey from concierge and front desk. I finally texted an hour prior to checkout and asked if any concessions would be provided for…what was probably the most ridiculous hotel experience I’ve ever had. I was offered a $150 credit, which I can almost guarantee is not their complete margin on the hotel room stay. Have to protect the company’s bottom line I guess $$$… FINAL THOUGHTS: So other than that, we had great weather all weekend! Our baby loves the palm trees outside. NOTE: Tripadvisor is being finicky with the video upload, I've covered about a quarter of the ants in the screenshots.
