We stayed here for 3 nights in March as part of a multi city trip. When we arrived the lady on reception was friendly and efficient and we were checked in and given our room number very quickly, she also told us that we had a $20 per day credit to spend in the hotel which was an unexpected bonus. It is a busy hotel and only 2 of the 3 lifts were working which was a little frustrating and seems to be an ongoing issue looking back at previous posts. The room was quite small especially with 2 cases to unpack and store but that said it was clean and the decor was “funky” as my wife described it. The bed was comfortable, there was a fully stocked mini fridge, a large work desk that we used for toiletries etc and a motorised blackout blind. The bathroom was clean and tidy with a powerful shower and a large sink and of course a toilet! The big let downs of the room were that the window was single paned and we faced the busy Wilshire Boulevard and the road noise was very loud at all times day and night, the aircon was effective but sounded like a jet engine when it was on so on all 3 nights we had interrupted sleep. There are various bars but we only used the lobby bar which was nice enough although could be noisy at times. We didn’t find the seating particularly comfortable unless you sat in a booth but service was good and the beer was cold. The other bars I suspect are aimed at younger clientele. The pool itself has seen better days with wall tiles missing but was clean enough and as temperatures were above normal was much needed and very refreshing. Poolside was well kept, the beds were comfortable, towels were provided and food and drink service was excellent. The hotel is pet friendly which as a dog lover is nice to see however there were some big dogs around the pool which the owners allowed on the sunbeds and towels etc which may put some people off. One dog actually stole from a plate of someone eating on their bed.

Frederick provided OUTSTANDING service. I appreciate that he took his job to the next level and provided unparalleled service. Give him a raise! I also thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was excellent in every way. Thank you 😊

Mar 01, 2026Gave Them a Second Chance, Not Again!
I’d stayed at The Line once before and had a below average experience, but I thought I’d give it a second chance in case the experience would be better, it wasn’t. If your room is on the Wilshire Blvd, get ready to hear the traffic (even if you’re on the 7th floor). Also, be prepared for the landscapers at 5:45 equipped with loud leaf blowers! Also, the “stylish” bathroom is equipped with a mirror that is angled downward so if you are taller than 5’10, get ready to stoop down to see your face in the mirror; the front desk sent up a very nice man from engineering who wedged a tissue box behind the mirror to angle it a little higher. Oye! Also, the parking is nearly $70 per night coupled with a resort fee. I tried to give them another shot, but not again!

Mehari who works the weekday valet is the best, he made my month long stay at the line a joy. So kind, warm with his smile at 6:30 every morning, diligent with his service and gracious.
