I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. It is beautiful, old and full of character. Incredible staff. Wonderful location. So much more spacious than anything else in Manhattan. A very luxurious and comfortable place to stay with a family. And terrific value. A rare hotel that checks all the boxes. We will be back!
Comfortable boutique hotel in Manhattan
Very nice boutique hotel! Bed was very comfortable, great toiletries (L'Occitane), 2 umbrellas in the room, ear plugs, robes & slippers, microwave & fridge. What more could you ask for!!! Friendly staff 24hrs. Great upstairs lounge. I really liked the vintage decorations and feel of the hotel. The only con, which the hotel can't control is the noise from the street, but thanks to the east plugs provided it was minimized.
We have been coming to the Kimberly for over 7 years for our annual girls weekend. Great location which is perfect for shopping, theater, sightseeing. Always book our one bedroom suite, and the three of us have plenty of room to spread out using 2 queens and sofabed. Wine, cheese, snacks in the perfect midtown setting.
Came in unsure. Left 100% certain to return!
From the outside and lobby you get the feeling this hotel has a lot of miles on it. It’s not flashy or modern by any stretch of the imagination. Only 2 elevators and not much going on in the lobby. Everything is brass. Everywhere. Like it was in the 80’s. Then you get to your room and it’s sort of a 1980’s baroque furniture and finish motif. You’re not sure if it’s antique or not, but it feels well loved. But then you realize the bedding and sheets are fantastic. And you see the L’Occitane quality bath products, and you notice that the suites are perfectly sized, with a nice little alcove for doing makeup, a great little kitchenette and bar area both fully stocked, a nice work area, fast, simple to use internet, and ample hot water and water pressure. And over the next few days you and your spouse keep saying to each other “this place is pretty great!” Housekeeping was top notch, and everyone was friendly across the board. I came to very much appreciate all of the quirks as character. No sterile boring rooms as you get with the big chain hotels. Pricing was very reasonable for the quality of service and amenities. Location was perfect for us - away from the mess of Times Square, but within a few blocks of a couple subway stations to take you easily anywhere you want to go. Bellmen were all super friendly and professional as well. I’m sure they’re highly under-appreciated for the great work they do. Make sure to tip them!
Highly recommend for a special romantic trip to NYC. Romantic!!
Romantic. Lovely gorgeous, charming, opulent, warm and inviting. Staff are all very professional and helpful. Rooms are large especially considering this is Manhattan. Beds are VERY comfortable.. furniture is artwork gorgeous. Our room had well equipped kitchen, desk, table, chairs. Bathroom gorgeous. Everything was well cared for. Rooftops bar/restaurant is a MUST. Good drinks, great music and the VIEWS are so very nice. Parking nearby and you can have them park your car for you until late at night.
