Everything and more
Had a 5 day run between Christmas and new years… From the moment we walked into this place it exceeded our European lodging expectations… very conveniently located to walk to just about everything downtown. A nice little surprise waited us very night when we returned from our day. Excellent on site breakfast with extreme attention to service and quality of food

Perfect stay!
Well appointed, comfortable, boutique style Marriott in Lisbon's Chiado neighborhood. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance! We had two rooms as we were traveling with our two daughters. They were tight (it's Europe), but we didn't spend much time there. The fitness center was well equipped and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend The Ivens!

Second stay
We had stayed at this hotel shortly after its opening in 2021. We were immediately fascinated by the hotel, even though it wasn’t fully operational at the time (our review was published here). Now, we decided to spend another weekend here. Although not far from our residence, Lisbon is always Lisbon, especially when you’re in the vibrant city center. We reiterate all the praise we gave in our first review, once again highlighting the interior architecture, the staff, and one of the major highlights: the impeccable housekeeping! As Marriott Bonvoy Titanium members, we used our Nightly Upgrade Awards to upgrade to a suite, which was assigned to us (#311). The suite was spacious and immaculate. Without repeating much from our previous review, the only minor drawback of this suite was the absence of a bathtub in either of the two bathrooms. The rest of the facilities were beyond reproach—everything was excellent, from the comfort of the bed to the suite’s temperature. Excellent rest, excellent sleep quality. We had a few light meals and cocktails at the bar and dined at Rocco, where the service was flawless, and the food quality was superb, though expensive. Breakfast was also served in this restaurant, but it did not meet our expectations. Finally, we want to leave some comments regarding the Marriott Bonvoy program. We are pleased that, from the very beginning, this hotel has been part of the Autograph Collection, meaning it belongs to the Marriott family. However, we didn’t feel any recognition for this affiliation. The perception is that being loyal to the brand doesn’t seem to matter much. Additionally, there is one detail members should be informed of at check-in—not afterward: expenses at Rocco do not count toward points! This restaurant is the only dining option within the hotel, and breakfast is served here. Moreover, the restaurant is advertised on Marriott’s website as part of the hotel, and it is even in the same building. These details are important for long-time Marriott members, especially those with Lifetime status.

Nice Lisbon Location
The Ivens, Autograph Collection is a nice choice in Lisbon. The hard product is very strong and one of the most impressive Autograph Collection properties I’ve visited. Booked into a suite which had three balconies and a full second bathroom that included a shower. The room was spotless and housekeeping was tremendous. The concierge team left small gifts each evening which was definitely a nice touch! The only downsides were the A/C which never reached the 17C setpoint nor came close. And the breakfast service was incredibly slow and nothing to remember. I opted most days to skip breakfast and enjoyed great local Portuguese spots for lunch.

Horrible experience for family
Location is great but regardless cannot recommend the hotel to any family. From start to finish horrible experience. Lobby looks nice as in pictures but… Takes every opportunity to add charges to bill (would not book via concierge). Had a dispute on a charge and had no recourse Insisted I needed a third room because my young kids (6 and 10 needed their own room) elevators are tiny and not nice No rooftop Would book alternative hotels with better, more thoughtful service.
