  Incredible stay!

  As a frequent traveler, I can confidently say that my stay at The Ivens was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. From the very first moment, the attention to detail stood out in everything, from the décor to the small thoughtful touches throughout the hotel. I absolutely loved the gifts and the little details at turndown; they made each evening feel special and truly cared for. We even preferred The Ivens to the Ritz, whose service felt a bit stiff in comparison. At The Ivens, the service is refined but relaxed, making you feel genuinely welcome. The staff were exceptional: warm, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. The location is perfect for exploring the city, making everything easily accessible. What truly makes The Ivens special, though, is its storytelling, the atmosphere, design, and concept come together to create a unique and memorable experience. Absolutely fantastic in every way.

  2nd time here……… won’t be the last!! Maybe the finest hotel in Lisbon. Central to everything and the finest front desk ( Manuel) and greeting we have seen. Concierge, before during and after is the finest. Rooms are a little smell and European but have all the amenities and great beds. 1500 reviews

  A 5-star experience in the heart of Lisbon

  An excellent 5-star experience. The staff were friendly, ready to help and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the stay. The room was spacious, beautifully designed and the bed was incredible. Gym well equipped, with brand new machines. Delicious breakfast, with a wide variety of fresh and local products, and high- quality options. The location on perfect, one step away from the heart of Lisbon while still having a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel exceeded our expectations, we highly recommend to anyone looking for a luxury and premium experience in Lisbon

  Good and bad

  Beautiful hotel in a great location however the restaurant, while delicious is ridiculously priced for breakfast and the bar is not available to just get a drink. It is fully reserved for dinner so there is no real hotel bar. They won’t even let you bring a drink from the bar into the hotel lounge to sit there. Very odd for a hotel.

  Style over substance

  This is the worst hotel we have stayed in this year, so many issues from arrival to departure. We stayed as a group of 4 couples from last Thursday until Sunday. The rooms are smallest I have ever stayed in with a shower but no bath. The hotel appears to concentrate on Style over customer care. The first night dinner was in a very nice room and most of the seafood was fine. The lasagne wasn’t great and my lobster pasta was so over cooked it was inedible. It was removed with no comment from the waitress. Breakfast was fine but not included in the room rate , and at 42 Euro poor value, we went elsewhere the rest of the week. Later in the evening we were sitting as a group below reception and we asked for a drink only to be told that this wasnt possible and the bar was full! Absurd in any hotel. The next day we asked for a dinner recommendation which was very professionally dealt with by a female concierge. However the Portuguese restaurant we went to was terrible. So bad that not one of us could eat the main course which they removed from the bill without comment. The Hotel should take some level of responsibility in recommending such a place. When we asked about checkout later in the evening we had an early flight, we were not asked the essential question of. “How was your stay ?” Nor was it asked the next morning. I only ever post reviews that are very good or very bad, but before I do I would like to see your response to my comments. Lisbon was great but your hotel experience was dreadful. Just posting this word for word as the hotel didnt bother to respond within 48 hours, judge for yourself how much they care.
