ISO happy I stayed here...
found this place on SW airlines and with 27,000 bonus points, I said I will try it. I am happy I did. I normally stay at the Hilton, but this place was great. It is not fancy, but right on the beach and close to restaurants and stores. it is a walk, but really doable. We enjoyed our stay. It was quiet, except for the waves. We would absolutely go back. Staff were great.

Disappointing
I am furious when I see the photos of this hotel. The photos are not true to the quality of the hotel. It is a dump. Not worth the money. Spend a little more and go to some place nice. There are very nice hotels to the north of this one. There are many other poor reviews of this hotel that detail its issues. Believe them. It is dirty and old and it has no modern conveniences. There is no lobby. It is basically a card table set up in a room. In there is the most modern thing they have and that is a new ice maker. The only one in the whole place. We left within about an hour of being there and were lucky enough to find a much nicer hotel about a mile north of this one. I do not have any photos because there was nothing nice about the hotel.

Decent place to stay, however slightly overpriced.
The room set up was fantastic you're able to listen to the waves without worrying about bugs coming into your room, the pool and yoga was great as well and it's fantastic location, it's right in front of the beach. The breakfast option was lacking, they provide you with snack bars and packed muffins rather than proper breakfast. The shower has a weird way of activating and also bathtub plug didn't work as expected.

Not worth the price and no aloha spirit.
Not worth the price and definitely no aloha spirit present over there. More a 2 star place which is run like a cheap motel than a so-called boutique hotel. All in all, the image portrayed through their website is very far away from what you get. We stayed at the ISO for a week during our honeymoon. Despite indicating it was our honeymoon, they gave us a room with separate beds. We complained about this and a few other things and they kindly offered to switch rooms, which we decided to decline because it was not convenient with only 2 nights left. This was the most poor experience of our 4 weeks on Hawaii. Please treat your guests better. Cons: - expensive for what you get -The staff seems to lack some basic hospitality training, they do not say welcome when you arrive or wish you well when you leave. Half of the staff at the front desk are cranky and have an attitude. - “complimentary breakfast” not enough and very cheaply done. - you cannot go for drinks at the restaurant unless you dine in, even though the restaurant was quiet Pros: - Nice location at the beach and premises with the swimming pool - Complimentary yoga class in the morning

Bait and switch
Bait and switch room listings on Priceline and bookings.com. paid for a premium newly renovated room with an ocean view only to find out they were all renovated and there are no premium rooms. My Ocean view turned into a view of a dirt lot with a nasty pool. I was still charged the same. Many other people have said the same thing on google I should have looked at the reviews before booking this place. Do not stay here, find an honest property to enjoy your vacation on Kauai
