    Our First Family Vacation

This resort was absolutely beautiful! The property was very clean, including the waterpark. The building can be a bit confusing but once you get used to it, it's OK! I have to shout out a specific employee, Chris Taylor! As he was so kind and has top notch, true customer service and his smile could light up the room. This property is lucky to have him as the face of the company really - he also works the security gate, so being the first person you see. He went way out of his way to help us and even gave us little clues on how to remember where our room was! He also gave us recommendations on good places to eat and fun things to do! We will definitely be back to The Grove!

Disappointing Expensive Resort - Not what's advertised - Avoid

Here are s• This is NOT a hotel or resort. This is a collection of timeshare style serviced apartments that happen to have some shared facilities • This has importance throughout your stay including the only weekly housekeeping, no in room dining of any kind. Here are some specifics relating to my visit • 1 hour to check-in. Yes, an hour. Imagine it’s the fall of Saigon 1972, and you get the picture. Undermanned desks, 80F heat in the lobby and management that couldn’t care less • No credit cards accepted when I arrived as machines down (apparently that’s a regular occurrence). After much arguing with a moron in reception got a key. • Inadequate and non-working elevators. The complex is made up of these huge accommodation blocks. Because this wasn’t designed as resort, there are only two tiny small elevators available. They are grossly overused by guests and cleaning staff so expect long waits. When I was there, one of the elevators was broken for the whole week so you either wait (20min or more) or take the stairs. Expect to have many LONG walks down dark corridors. • Inadequately stocked shop. There is a ‘market’ on sight. It’s full of empty shelves and overpriced garbage. It’s stocked weekly so runs out of basics all the time • Overpriced restaurant called ‘Valencia’. There is a on site restaurant (but literally other side from pool so expect a long walk). There is no buffet breakfast, a la cart only. I wondered why the restaurant it was entirely empty. I discovered the reason – the prices are astronomical with mediocre quality. I swore I wouldn’t return to that dump and didn’t • Poor design based around cars – the accommodation blocks are based around cars and to get to your room you are going to have to walk past fume filled garages. • Prices elsewhere on the property are not cheap especially not the arcade. Prices at poolside café will make your cry. • Website not working fully, functions broken and impossible to get anything ‘delivered to room’ • Bed uncomfortable and past it’s best. • Staff impossible to contact. I’m still waiting for “Brian” to call me back after I complained. • Services on telephone – expect 40 wait for call pick up. You have an in room phone that supposedly connects you to front desk, housekeeping etc. It doesn’t all buttons go to front desk. • Be aware that this resort is some distance from other attractions – lots of Uber bills. Add on charges like Cabana, food and drink are incredibly expensive.

Chante was amazing, she worked the Cabana (12) and reserved seatings.

Chante was amazing, she was attentive and very personable. She provided great service even with her having many customers to serve. She checked on us multiple times and was very nice. She served us for two days at this point and I hope I have her the remainder of my stay.

Despite the good review by Tripadvisor, I would not recommend this resort.

We had a three bedroom suite which was nice, but not very clean. We put in a request for more towels, then had to wait for two hours before they got to us. The Valencia restaurant was good, though very limited in the offerings. The tiles next to the pool were very loose and a hazard. The market had a good selection, but was way overpriced especially for the food! These were just a few things that are affected our visit to the resort.
