  100% Satisfied!

  The location of the resort was easily accessible! The free shuttle from the hotel was great to bring us downtown for dinner and the nightlife! The resort had everything we could have thought of in the room. The shampoo and conditioner, I want to find it for home!!! Great citrus scent! The room was decorated in the island theme. 🌴🦩🐬 Nice and bright! The room was clean and the housekeeper even walked by later and asked if everything was good! Sweet woman. 🧹🧼🧹 The pools were perfectly maintained. We didnt have that overbearing smell of chlorine as other places we have stayed. The bars both had friendly staff and the food truck for lunch were perfect portions and great flavors! The entire resort was clean and tidy. The courtyard area has plenty of activities to keep everyone having a little fun. The only noise we heard were the chickens, however the resort provided ear plugs if we needed them. If you know Key West, you know to expect the chickens! 🐔 🐥 If you are looking for a great place to stay a little from the hustle of downtown, you cant go wrong here!! I know when I come back to the Island.. Blue Flamingo Resort will always be my first choice hotel!!

  Fabulous Hotel

  Great Hotel perfect location for visiting key west. The hotel is clean and well appointed everything you need (Even ear plugs for Key West resident chickens who are early risers) the kids loved the swimming pools and the food and drinks were great. The staff are friendly and helpful. Only suggestion the free shuttle is hard to book so book early and need more pool towels. But we will be back. Thank you

  Mediocre resort.

  Some of the staff are genuinely scary. While the receptionist calls multiple times to ask what we want, it’s never delivered. There are literally never any towels at the pool. The food is good if you’re three years old, there is literally no adult food to be had on a large property. Pools are full of noisy kids, one should be adult only. It’s dangerous. Gym had nice treadmills. Location completely out of the way and no water views. I will not be staying again.

  DON’T STAY HERE!

  I made our reservations mid-January, based on their website language “completely renovated, including the rooms . . .” This is false advertising; this language has since been changed. The website photos are deceiving. The bathroom in our Ocean View Two Queen Bed room was new, maybe the TV was replaced, but the remainder was not upgraded, not even painted. Every time I entered/exited the bed, it would creak so loud on each side, it woke up others. The dresser countertop had items permanently attached, which limits usable space. There’s two feet of unusable space at the end of the closet. The safe is on the top shelf of the closet; you need a chair to access it. You need a tutorial to use the TV remote. For a room that sleeps four, there was only one chair in the room—an oversized plastic slingback with no back support. For a 300 square-foot room, there’s a lot of wasted space. Move the mirror next to the entrance door, and add a table and two usable chairs where the mirror is. I asked for and received another chair, and received the same type chair. For as nice as the lobby is decorated, you’d think management would do the same in the rooms. There are two hooks in the bathroom for towels; where do guests hang swimsuits? The soap, shampoo, and conditioner are attached to the wall 5 1/2 feet high; a short person cannot reach them. Why are there hooks next to the dresser with items hanging from them that are glued to the backboard? We always took our shoes off at the door; I wore the same pair of socks while in the room—they were black when we checked out. The two pool areas are beautiful, but there’s not enough chairs—wasted space around the pools. 71 chairs total at both pools for 245 guest rooms? Every morning there were towels placed on every lounge chair; when I asked about this at the front desk, they said the staff places towels on each chair for convenience; this needs to stop. Guests don’t see it that way; they said it looked like guests ‘reserve’ their chair early because of the shortage of lounge chairs. The earplugs are not to ‘silence the squawk’ in an ocean view room—they’re to block out the noise from the old below-the-window air conditioner. There are two outdoor elevators; according to other reviews, one has been broken for a few months. If the other one breaks, housekeeping cannot clean the rooms, as I saw several employees with carts on the first floor waiting for an elevator to take them to their floor. Housekeeping and guests deserve better. Now I know why they charge an up-front, non-refundable fee—so you can’t change your mind after one night in this sub-par place.
