Now - Mar 31, 2015 - Warren's Blackboard Restaurant is closed for renovations to transform into 'The Front Yard'. In its place, the hotel has created The Courtyard Canteen, adjacent to the Lobby Bar. This is a full-service restaurant with the same hours of operation, serving all meal periods including a full American breakfast buffet. During this time, the hotel will not have room service but instead offer a pick-up option at The Canteen Courtyard with menus in room.

We were recommended this hotel by ChatGPT when we searched for a luxury hotel close to Universal Studios.....turned out to be the favoirte part of our trip. We loved the midcentury boutique hotel vibe! The restaurant was AMAZING! This is a family owned hotel and you can feel the positive difference this makes and all the attention to details. Thank you ChatGPT for the recommendation! We will be back to North Hollywood soon just to stay here again!

Great stay
We were hardly at the hotel as we were busy being tourists. The time we were there was comfortable and we felt safe. Parking is very expensive but you know that on booking. Bed was very sorts some people like that kind of thing. Me not so much. Bring ear plugs if you aren’t on the top levels as you hear the people above you walking around. Great staff. Beautiful pool area and very clean. Very chilled and relaxed vibe. Great if going to universal as they have free trolley that takes you.

We Love the Garland!
We’ve been returning to The Garland for almost five years, and it consistently feels like our home away from home. The staff goes above and beyond—remembering us, our preferred room, and even accommodating our senior family member and small pet. Crystal at the front desk and the entire team make every stay smooth and welcoming. The hotel has a fun, family-friendly atmosphere, and we always enjoy meeting travelers from around the world. The restaurant is excellent, and the patio setting is beautiful—almost like a little European getaway. For anyone visiting Los Angeles, The Garland is a warm, comfortable, and memorable place to stay. -Cos & Kelly

The location is stellar! The restaurant and adorable store are my favorites. Rooms are CLEAN! Decor is stunning. The staff is the best ever! They are kind helpful and really really great at helping at check in or any needs you might have. It is my favorite hotel in LA. An absolute original!

They go a step further
We recently stayed at The Garlan and we had a wonderful experience, I was celebrating my son’s birthday and the staff was amazing! The hotel atmosphere was cozy and they offered a great shuttle service to Universal Studios. We will for sure go back! If you are looking for a nice place to stay, this is it!
