    Locally owned and reasonably priced

    Locally owned, reasonably priced. The rooms are all you need, and the bar in the lobby serves as a great place to start your night. The location provides an opportunity to explore a less traveled part of Waikiki.

    Kona Storm Shelter

    We arrived here after a flight cancelation during the Kona Rain Storm. Booked room last minute and arrived exhausted and discouraged. Everyone was so accommodating. You allowed us to check out 3 hours late due to storm and wind unknowns. From the bell hop when we arrived to the bartender at the Paniolo Lanai Bar and Cafe, to the reception desk people (two separate employees) were amazing. Tha nk you for making our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend for the staff alone.

    Had a beautiful experience because of Equus and their hospitality!

    The location is very safe and convenient, I was able to take the bus directly from the airport, to and from, and if you need a bus card, there’s an ABC store right there. You can walk to two beautiful beaches from the hotel, and we were able to go out at night to various clubs and bars without having to worry about driving or uber expenses which was so convenient (we walked to Waikiki and to neighboring places). The area is welcoming and safe—we walked around at night, and I went on some sunrise runs and walks when I first got there. The room itself is cozy and the hotel’s amenities are nice. The people working there were very kind and warm to us. They were also flexible with letting us leave the car in the lot before we flew out which was much appreciated. The value of the room and service was better than any Airbnb or other hotel out there, so I would greatly recommend you stay at Oahu’s Equus. Noise levels were not an issue despite being on a busy road and convenient location. The cleanliness was good and satisfactory.

    Perfect spot for maximizing all Oahu has to offer

    Amazing location, cute little bar with the extraordinary staff that can accommodate any guests needs. Rooms were beautifully styled with all the amenities a resort 4x the price would provide.
