We can’t wait to be back at The Cape next fall or winter to see the Whales and our friends Luis, Fernanda, Hugo, Daniel, Luis the bartenders and Dario. The pool was our favorite hangout. The views at the Cape are perfection! Thank you for such a relaxing stay. We will be back!

Jan 21, 2026Beautiful Location, But a 5-Star Stay That Ends Very Poorly
I truly wanted to love this resort. The view is stunning, my room was amazing, and many of the staff members were warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, despite multiple opportunities to correct a serious issue, the way this stay ended left me with a very negative overall impression. The morning of my arrival—before I had even reached the resort—I noticed I had already been charged $850.47. I immediately raised this with the front desk upon check-in and was told it was “just a hold.” Despite my concern, the front desk agent then charged the full amount anyway. When I asked again the following day, I was given a different explanation—that the charge was actually meant to be a deposit, and that I had been charged the full amount in error. From that point on, the rest of my stay was overshadowed by repeated trips to the front desk, conflicting explanations, and assurances that the issue had been resolved—when it hadn’t. What made this especially disappointing was that I had tipped the front desk agent in advance, hoping for attentive service and help navigating the situation. Instead, I was left dealing with a prolonged and unnecessary billing debacle that could have been avoided with basic clarity and care. Since checkout, I have emailed repeatedly and left formal reviews and feedback. While I’ve received polite apology emails confirming that a refund was “authorized,” nothing has actually been done to make this right. Nearly two weeks later, the funds have still not been returned, and no one has been able to provide a transaction ID, confirmed processing date, or a clear timeline. The cost of food was also outrageously high (easily $100/meal even for breakfast or at the pool). Sunscreen was $33 for a small tube. Because of the peak-end rule, the final moments of a stay matter most. Despite a beautiful setting and many kind staff members, the lack of follow-through, accountability, and urgency at the end has left me with a really bad taste in my mouth. I gave the resort multiple opportunities—during my stay and afterward—to make this right. Unfortunately, they did not. Until billing issues are handled with the professionalism expected at this level, I cannot recommend staying here.

The place to stay in Cabo

The Best of Cabo
The Cape embodies every reason why I love Cabo. There are many impressive resorts here, but this one is a stand out. Some places feel huge and almost overwhelming… but The Cape hotel sits on a small stretch of beach with views of the arch that are truly breathtaking. The staff are kind, personable and go above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying every part of your stay. My room was so spacious and beautifully appointed with a deep soaking tub, sitting area and the most inviting balcony with a swinging daybed (loved reading while listening to the waves crash.) Poolside service was warm, efficient and plenty of lounge chairs for all guests. A special thank you to Eduardo and Kristin for the delicious welcome treats and libations. You made my stay truly special and everything I wanted. I can’t recommend this resort enough!!
