- GardenTabacon Thermal Resort & Spa newest luxury area is the private, lush Shangri-La Gardens. In a secluded area in the upper part of the mineral springs complex, the garden is the new "it" place for discriminating guests and luxury spa vacationers. It's also the perfect area to unwind after a holistic treatment at the Grand Spa and to enjoy cocktails and refreshments, served to you by the garden's own butlers.
Shangri-La Gardens is an area of lush gardens and six natural thermal mineral spring water pools, heated naturally by the nearby Arenal Volcano. Exclusively for adults and hotel guests. - General †- Yoga Classes
- Pool
The Tabacon experience at the Arenal Volcano centers on the hot thermal springs, pools and the Grand Spa. The main sunbathing and swimming area features five pools with temperatures ranging from 25 to 38 degrees C (77 to 102 F), the main one with a swim-up bar and thermal water slide. The pools on the lower section offer a more secluded ambiance with spectacular volcano and rainforest views, and they are also within the main service area of the Arenal Swim-Up Bar.
Tabacon features four additional pools, a cold-water one set in the rainforest, two specifically for our Grand Spa guests, and a third as a cold alternative between the hot springs in the tropical gardens. These pools are strategically located along the walking trails of the gardens and provide a nice relaxing break from the explorations of the flowers and plants, and the surprisingly regular wildlife sightings.
- Spa
The Tabacon Grand Spa Experience starts with the natural hydrotherapy provided by the hot springs and waterfalls, naturally heated and fed by the Arenal Volcano. The minerals dissolved in our springs are known to relax and heal, giving you an unusual and beneficial experience. In our relaxation area, you'll find a co-ed Jacuzzi pool and rest areas. You can enjoy tea and smoothies before you set off for an individual or couples' treatment. The open-air bungalows come in various sizes, some designed for one person other for two persons. Each bungalow has an open-air Jacuzzi with water from the thermal mineral spring water, and is complemented by outside whirlpools and streams

Fabulous day out
Fabulous day out, definitely a 5* venue. Exceptionally clean with excellent staff. We would recommend having lunch as the food was amazing. If we had any niggles it would be that check-in could be speeded up.

Excellent ! Memorable and one of the best days in my life.
I had an excellent experience at this restaurant, and the service truly stood out. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. Our server Priscilia Salas was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. Orders arrived promptly, the table was checked on at the perfect times, and every interaction felt genuinely friendly. It was clear that the team takes pride in making guests feel comfortable and valued. Combined with the delicious food and pleasant atmosphere, the outstanding service made this a dining experience I would happily recommend and look forward to enjoying again.
