Cristian was so friendly and helpful. Love that guy. He greeted us warmly each time we arrived back to our resort. Cristian stood out above all. So grateful.

We just got back from a quick 5 day stay at Sunscapes. We have stayed there a few times over the past years. The staff are all very wonderful and work hard to keep everything going. Miguel in the buffet is always wonderful in the mornings, we have been seeing him for years. We did find that the evening buffet has really gone down hill with not many options. The Bell Men at the front are also so wonderful and accommodating. Oscar and Christian were always so happy and helpful getting us cabs and getting put bags. My only disappointment was that now we have to wear wrist bands, and I would say the food selection has gone down quite a bit. We are booked to come back in March with are kids, and I am sure we will have a great time again. Thank you

Amazing staff, amenities could use some attention
The staff was very awesome, the hotel definitely could use some attention. The activities were very fun. Christian (the bell hop) was super nice. Pretty much everyone we had the pleasure of dealing with was very nice. If the hotel was in better shape I would have zero complaints.

Instead of details I will summarize: -Hotel looks overall rundown and shabby. -2 out of 3 elevators work. -Not a single hook or dresser in the rooms, only a small closet. -Main dining area tables are gross, the placemats even more gross. -While there is an attempt to keep birds out of the dining area there is bird poop on the tables and chairs and sometimes landed in our food. -The food is very average at best. Scrambled and poached eggs horrible. Option for fresh omlette but huge line. -Pool is ridiculously loud most of the time. We had to yell just to get towels. Sometimes "headbanger" music blasting. -Room in disrepair. Sink faucet not working properly, no lock on balcony door, plaster falling off baseboards. -Lots of private special events, also extremely loud until night. -Beach towels look like rags. -Pool looked foggy. -Beach chairs appeared to never be cleaned. -Weren't allowed to use guest kayaks even though ocean was calm. -Games in teen area in complete disrepair. Axe throwing and soccer table not usable at all. -While there is a junk food truck available, lunch doesn't start until 1:30. Dinner doesn't start until 6:30. Not suitable times for families with children. Supposed to be a family resort. -Specialty taco restaurant is unbearably stuffy and hot despite the opportunity to open more doors facing the ocean.
