A great two weeks at Sunscape
Just returned from our first stay at the Sunscape. We were pleased with the overall resort. Room had a great view , good A/C, water was replenished daily, kept spotless by Guadalupe. She always had a pleasant “ good morning” for us. We had purchased the Sunclub and really appreciated the covered beach area and the beachside restaurant where we had breakfast and lunch most days. Special thanks to the great service from Tomas, Alicia, Ignacio (Nacho) and Emmanuel. We didn’t spend any time in the Sunclub lobby lounge, other than to get a great margarita or martini from Marcel. On our first day Reme was very helpful in getting our room sorted out. Our favourite restaurant was the DeMario (Italian). Viridiano, , Miguel, and Roger took good care of us. We liked the fact that we didn’t need to make reservations. Only issue was that pool area was very crowded and it was difficult to get a chair in the shade.

Trip with my Family
I really enjoyed the bike trip with Jessica. She was really nice and easy to talk to, even as a tourist.

We really enjoyed our stay!
The resort was very clean, food was very good (first time we didn't get sick in Mexico, despite eating lots of salads, fruit, and other uncooked items). The beachwas nice (waves were a bit high sometimes, not great for swimming, but great for walking and watching life go by. Views from the rooms are great (all rooms are ocean facing). Beach was very nice, pool was quite crowded. This is a family resort, with tons of kids around the pool, so don't expect an adult oriented experience. The ratio of guests was about 75-80% young Mexican families, and about 20-25% older North American couples. Accessibility was very good compared to some resorts we have visited. There are two Palapas (four lounge chairs each) by the pool dedicated for handicapped only use. Security would remove towels placed by others if they noticed them being placed. Otherwise they would ask people to move when we showed up and asked to use it. Wheelchair ramps were in most places (including to the beach), with the exception of the Lobby Bar and a couple of shops. For the Buffet (Windows), they have three steps up to the food area, so self-service is difficult (staff will bring you items if you ask, or have a travelling companion get it for you). The buffet patio has steps down from the main area, but you can check in at the entrance, and then use ramps to enter the patio by the pool/garden area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Download the resort app (there's a QR code on your room key envelope) for restaurant hours and menus. The buffet (Windows) was great for breakfast, including an omelette station, a crepe station, and a Mexican (quesadillas, gorditas, etc) station . They do a themed dinner buffet pretty much every night, including 3-4 nights/week in the garden with a corresponding entertainment event. Food for dinner in the buffet was okay (good, but not outstanding). Blue Water Grill was very good for lunch and dinner (open 2 nights for International, 2 nights for Mexican (under the name Tamarindo). They are also open 2 days a week for breakfast, which was good, although it is all buffet style, and I thought the Windows buffet breakfast was better. Da Mario (Italian) was okay. Reasonable variety, but one or two meat dishes were overcooked. They are open every night for dinner. Overall, I thought the resort was very good.

Beautiful beach!
Amazing location with a beautiful beach. Plenty of beach cabanas available, and the service on the beach was very good. Thumbs up to our server Giovanni, he made our experience so enjoyable.
