  Sunscape Sucks

  The location on the beach is beautiful. The snorkeling off the beach is great. The massage at the spa was amazing and some of the staff- Amanda, Kennith and Nathalie made the resort bearable. The rooms here are dated , dirty, moldy. The restaurants had limited availability and menu choices, much of the staff was rude. We paid extra for VIP which was meaningless. Do not come here!

  ⭐️ 10 on 10 for ZERO BEACH VENDORS!! ⭐️

  Location; super nice Atmosphere; very nice Room; spacious, clean, (aged, needs renovation) but everything functioned perfectly Value; fair We stayed 1 week (end of October 2026) Check in went smoothly. Check out went smoothly. Restaurants; all food was very good. There are 5 restaurants; only 1, the Italian restaurant Da Mario, has air conditioning (and that’s if you’re lucky to be seated inside) All the others are under a hut, with no fans, only the extreme heat from outside. Service was good. Beach; oh my gosh, it’s stunning! There are medium size rocks when you go in, (for a stretch of 10 feet or so) you will see them, the water is crystal clear. You will have to walk in slowly and same thing for getting out. I brought my water shoes, I only worn them twice, and then had confidence to walk in without them. Water is warm. There aren’t bashing waves because of the big bolder rocks that create a barrier further out into the sea. Brilliant idea!! There is no beach service. But it doesn’t hurt to walk to the bar to get a drink of any kind. They aren’t far from where you will choose your spot on the beach. ⭐️ But the 10 on 10 star, is that there aren’t any BEACH VENDORS!!! ⭐️ You are at peace when trying to relax on the beach, finally!!! 😁 I finally got to meet the BARTENDER, the LEGEND, that the entire internet is talking about; mister KENNETH!!! Yes indeed what an amazing gentleman he is!! 🙌 So kind, humble, and professional, he knows how to do any drink/cocktail on this planet! Speaking of the beach; you might get a visit from the Iguana’s roaming around. Don’t be afraid of them. Apparently they are fed from the hotel. Just as long as you don’t bother or scare the iguana’s, they won’t bother you. What a beautiful creature. And then there are some cats, they are beautiful. Bring some cat food with you before arriving to this resort. Staff; the majority were very nice. Weather; during our entire week, it was 40-45 degrees Celsius. No need to bring extra cardigans and long sleeve tops and pants. We only experienced 2 days of some windy weather, but it was still extremely hot. We enjoyed the wind. Excursion; we took a $30usd taxi to bring us to Willemstad. It was beautiful. So many colourful buildings, shops, restaurants, caffe’s, cigar shops, souvenirs shops, ect ect.. We walked over the Queen Emma Bridge, and walked throughout that side. Same thing, lots of beautiful things to see. We took pictures at the Curacao Sign, as well as the FIFA World Cup stage! Marvelous ⭐️😁 ——-What’s outside the hotel premises? Every night after dinner, we walked next door to MAMBO BEACH!! oh my goodness, it’s so beautiful. Make sure to walk the upstairs and the downstairs. And to walk all the way to BonBini (you will be walking a small bridge to get there) You can eat at any of the restaurants at Mambo Beach. The people working there are so polite!! 🙌 I went to do a brief visit to Dreams Curacao; the main beach is kind of non existant. It’s disappointing. I guess I touched all basis. ——SUNSCAPE CURACAO🇨🇼🇨🇼🇨🇼 Overall my experience was very good. ⭐️😁 Would I go back?   Objective review

  Accommodations and Overall Conditions Having previously stayed at this resort 14 years ago, the decline in quality is noticeable. The rooms are not simply dated, but showing clear signs of decay—the showers, mirrors, and furniture are all in various states of disrepair. Unfortunately, the same lack of maintenance applies to the rest of the resort facilities as well. Food The dining options can barely be considered 3-star quality. The dinner variety in the main dining hall is limited, often reduced to fried chicken, a single beef stew, and rice containing scant bits of seafood focused on Caribbean-style cuisine. Aside from the main dining hall and the bar, there are two specialty restaurants for dinner: Italian and Japanese. * Japanese: Features teppanyaki, though it isn't particularly impressive as it essentially mirrors the main hall's rice dish with small pieces of seafood. * Italian: Serves small portions, but offers reasonable dinner options that are easily the best food available on the property. Staff The staff is primarily from the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, and some do not speak English. While they can be friendly and cheerful, the service is generally slow and half-hearted. Staff members frequently try to lure guests with discounts to purchase add-ons like bottles of wine, lobster tails, or spa massages. The Beach The beach itself is clean with easy access, though the shoreline has not been cleared of rocks, making entry into the water uncomfortable without footwear. Sun loungers are routinely reserved all day by guests who leave their belongings on them, making the area appear fully occupied. Despite notifying security, the issue is not enforced, and security personnel are never seen around the property. On the positive side, the beach is protected by breakwaters that keep the water very calm, which is a common setup for resorts in Curaçao. Snorkeling and Other Activities Snorkeling within the protected bay is poor, with very minimal marine life remaining. Kayaks are strictly restricted to this enclosed area, which measures only about 400 meters long by 50 meters wide. Daily entertainment is minimal, limited to bingo games and a rotating roster of solo Caribbean musical performers. There is no active entertainment team organizing group activities like beach volleyball. The Guests The resort's clientele consists mainly of guests from Paraguay, Colombia, and Argentina. The second largest demographic includes French-Canadian and Dutch travelers, followed by a smaller proportion of English-speaking Canadians.

  Kenneth was the Best, hardest working Bar tender, always smiling and very attentive. We will definitely be looking for Kenneth next time we visit Curaçao Sun-Club.

  STAY AWAY FROM SUNSCAPE FOR YOUR SANITY

  So broken down and many things don't work. The only way to fix this place is demolition and start over. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE FOR YOUR SANITY. If you must go to Curaçao, pick another property. Keep in mind the rest of the island looks like a garbage dump with trash and dumping everywhere you look. There are better places to vacation.
