Just don't do it
You're paying for the view and that's about it. The resort is dated. The room service has been removed expect for 3 basic items. The a/c is just a fan no cooling. We walked to Mambo Beach for every meal after day because the food was horrible. But they do get 2 starts because of the view and water!
This resort has great beaches, soft sand and the break wall was nice for calm swimming and snorkeling. also nice to have our own bar with beautiful colorful cocktails and a great bar gal, we will be back!!.
Take heed to the bad reviews. Its all true. Honestly this is the 2nd Hyatt resort that I have stayed at and will never again give them my money. Read the reiews for Dreams as well( also a Hyatt) and they are the same. The managment is the issue. the peiole working the resort know its messed up. I feel bad for them because they are the ones having to field the unhappy guests. No top shelf liquor. you have to ask a manager to go dig some up. We experionced this several times. The bar thats supposed to be open for Sun club closed ar 10:30 11 every night. There was no carding for Sunclub members at any of the Sun club facilities. The food is horrendous. I have done all inclusive a totoal of 10 times. I have paid a lot less for a lot more. My bad experionces have always been a Hyatt owned property. This place fell way below my expectations. Look up Excellece, Palace, Barcelo. All the same price and high quality. dont waste your time or Money.
Ran out of ice and top shelf drinks everyday. No AC in room. Slow and rude service. Horrible smells of sewage. Bad food. Very dirty pools. Pigeons flying in food and dropping everywhere. Room lights and outlets not working. Dirt downtown

We had a really great vacation here! I cannot believe the negative reviews I have read on here about this resort. I was worried before we came that I would not enjoy this trip. My wife and I have been to many. many all-inclusive resorts over the years (28 years of travelling together) and we just got back from a great week here with another couple and we all had an amazing time. For sure it is not the best resort but certainly not the worst. We'd all come back here. We stayed in building 7, on the ground floor and loved it. Our room was just a few steps away from the beach, with a quiet pool outside our door and a short walk across the cutest little bridge to the bar. All the staff (management included) are absolutely fantastic, friendly, always smiling and helpful. The sunsets are amazing. Enough said about that! The beach is great. We snorkelled every day. It is so great to have the breakwall there. The water is really clear and you can even just walk out and see the fish all around you if you don't like to snorkel. Food was good. Breakfast : Buffet was great with Mimosas and Caesars every day. Great selection of fruit and an omelette station (ask for bacon). Dinner : Blue Water Grill on the ocean was my personal favourite. You cannot reserve tables for the the Seafood, Blue Water Grill and Italian so you have to put your name on a list and they will let you know how long the wait is. We we were able to get a table for 4 every night. For the Himitsu Japanese you can only make a reservation through the app (QR code is available at the reception desk). Great experience - plus sushi and miso soup as appetisers. The drink selection was good with a great variety but the wine was not good (for me). The promise to restock the fridge every day only applies to the Sunscape members but, seriously, who needs the fridge restocked every day when there is a bar right there? We really enjoyed our week. When reading the negative reviews remember this : You're on vacation! Relax & chill and take it all as it comes.
