One of the best resorts in Curacao. Family oriented staff. Great ambience . Variety of entertainment. Excellent food choices.

Great vacation
I would just like to give a special hats off to Jermaine,(General Manger,all food services)who we met in the first 2hrs on resort,we were seated under a palm roof having a drink,there was a beach buffet being set up behind us when Jermaine came along and rallied his staff for a pep talk on the buffet that was to take place,we listened in and were both impressed by how he addressed his staff,kind ,polite,engaging.5 minutes later my wife was telling him so,meet him many times throughout our stay always with a friendly chat and a how's things going.Later on we met another delightful person in the name of Vaneisa who I believe was a Executive Manger,an absolute star in this business, we loved seeing her and talking with her on a daily basis.The maids and staff for building s were always smiley and cheerful with a good morning and hello,the bartenders quick and happy,tks Rock for all the MudSlides,all employees we engaged with in restaurants were happy to serve you,Anisha who worked in lobby,answered all questions, car rentals,bus into town etc.Most reviews usually start off with rooms ,food and such.I believe it all starts with the people who work there.Our room was clean ,spacious and all functions in working order,the food in the restaurants and buffet were delicious, the Italian restaurants Chicken Parmigiana was absolutely delicious, special shout out to Ellie at the Japanese restaurant, a fun dinner,also the entertainment, a mini Karnavel came thru,awesome fire show,cool trumpet player one night and a sax player the next,awesome, shout out to Candy man always had something to entertain us with. Will spend the rest of year with our daily life and the growing anticipation of going back to Sunscape Resort and Spa this coming February.

The location works well in terms of proximity to the airport, and primary tourist hub such as Mambo Beach. The beaches on property are clean, taken care of and offers safe and good snorkeling on property.

Beautiful week in paradise
Had a most wonderful vacation at this resort for the past 7 days... It's is an older resort by what they lack in modern architecture they make up for in service!! Kenneth at the sun club pool bar was incredible and made the perfect drinks each and every time ... Fabiola was another shining star offering a smile with every plate served!! The beach is absolutely beautiful and water a stunning turquoise

I read other reviews and convinced myself It would be that bad. 1st the good, the snorkeling in front of the resort is GREAT. So many different fish. Some of the nighttime live entertainment shows are very cool and well rehearsed. The problems areas, beach is very rocky. When reviews say the rooms are dated, they are not kidding but....you dont go to hangout in the rooms. I will say the mattresses were nice and we slept great. Food wise, buffet very mediocre and the same thing everyday. Some restaurants have extremely limited menu and slow service. Bar menu again very limited and you are a burden to the bartenders when we you want something. They have several buildings with rooms but the resort never felt crowded, I suspect they are never booked out because of the massive amount of negative reviews. We enjoyed the trip but it definitely wasn't great.
