Curaçao is awesome, Sanscape Resort very average.
The beach was amazing. Bring snorkeling and go pro, underwater camera, as that is awesome here. The resort itself is an average all inclusive. Food was ok, service at restaurants extremely slow. Rooms are ok but a couple of our group did not have good working AC in the room. All in all an ok place to go, but just set your expectations of the resort as lows but the beach and the actual island high!!

Curaçao is Beautiful but…..
We stayed for 12 days, horrendous sewer smell in hotel room, no sheer curtain for 5 days. Complained everyday. No offer for a room upgrade. Not a lot of staff, you had to walk to the bar from anywhere but the restaurants for your drink. Resort is very old and out dated, evening shows could use a revamp quite boring. Staff was very friendly. Landscaping beautiful. Variety of food was limited but what was available was good except for steak in the Bluegrill.

Enjoyable First Trip to Curacao
I travelled to Curacao for a week with my partner in search of a relaxing and fun island getaway. The Sunscape was an inexpensive, all-inclusive option that, while definitely not luxury, was a good choice for our intended experience. The beach and pools were much larger and nicer than other similarly-priced options we looked at. Finding a chair was never a problem, the ocean, beach, and pools never felt overcrowded, and the snorkeling was absolutely incredible. My partner brought along his own snorkel mask but I was able to easily rent one at the dive shop for free. Hundreds of incredible fish could be seen right off the beach and the ocean was always very calm, though a little cold at this time of year. The resort also offered kayaking which he didn't take advantage of and my partner was rather disappointed that there weren't any hobeycats or other small sailboats to take out since these were advertised on the website. The entertainment staff did a good job of running activities day and night with really interesting shows in the evening, including a fire show. The food, especially the fish, was delicious though dinner was slightly frustrating as there were always wait times for restaurants other than the buffet no matter what time we went. The drinks were okay and took some trial and error to figure out what was made well and which bar was best. The main pool bar consistently didn't smell particularly great and the juice they served and used for cocktails tasted very artificial. That being said, the lobby bar as well as the cafe were both great and I highly recommend the cinnamon rolls from the cafe. Overall, I would recommend the Sunscape if you're looking for an all-inclusive but not looking to spend your whole life's savings. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food and drinks were relatively good, and the beach and ocean were incredible.

2nd trip here for the great beach
OK, let’s be honest, most people come here for the amazing beach. The food is good for the price point, dinners are really good and above average buffet. Service is good, buildings dated and 2nd trip with them and not much changed with Hyatt buying them. If you want it cool in room bring a fan for nightstand.

Very relaxing vacation on a lovely protected beach.
My daughter and I went for 1 week and loved it. This is my 7th time there with various family and/or friends. Sometimes we are 4 and sometimes just 2 and we always stay in the Pelican building. This time we spent one night in the Royal Tower which is very nice, larger room and larger patio but we prefer the quieter area at the Pelican. Nice this year that they cut down on people reserving chairs and then leaving. It made for more relaxing mornings even though we are early risers. Coco Cafe opens at 6am to start you with a nice coffee while you enjoy the sunrise. It was great to see the improvements that they have done and continue with. Breakfast was fresh made to order omelets, fruit, meats, cheeses. Waitresses were always happy to see you even in the busy times. Only complaint was lunch and dinner were very similar menus. They do have other restaurants, Oceana for seafood, Italian and the Japanese which put on a good show. There also is a BBQ place for lunch. There were a few mosquitos in the evening so bring some spray with you. Towels for the beach and for the rooms were plentiful. Our fridge was restocked daily with beer, pap and water. Fire show was terrific but could use some choreography and the Saturday night dancing parade was great but we missed the stilt walkers this time. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much. You can take a bus into Willemstad for the day or even just walk to Mambo beach for some variety. We will be back.
