  Nice holiday but ended up with salmonella

  The hotel was nice entertainment was amazing food was good but for 2 and a half days before leaving I had severe sickness and diarrhoea thought I just ate something that didnt agree with me flew home very unwell next day had to go to hospital with severe sickness and diarrhoea and dehydration infection level was so high confirmed salmonella I have been in hospital for a week very dissapointing

  Great vacation at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana

  Beautiful resort. Immaculate grounds. Specialty restaurants are amazing and the fact that you no longer need reservations is amazing. Beach is very clean and lots of beach chairs. Would definitely recommend the resort.

  Great Location, Disappointing Experience

  Apart from the room itself, which was actually very good, our overall experience at Sunscape Coco was disappointing. We were fortunate to be placed in one of the renovated buildings because not all of them have been updated, and the difference appears significant. Unfortunately, the room was not without its issues. The shower area was underwhelming, with peeling walls and small ants running around. The air conditioning was another weak point, but not because it wasn't working. In fact, it worked too well and was almost impossible to adjust properly. During our first two days, the room temperature remained around 19.5°C, which was far too cold for comfort. We actually had to leave the balcony door open at times just to warm the room up because the controls seemed ineffective. The à la carte restaurants were reasonably decent and clearly better than the main buffet. Unfortunately, the buffet was the weakest part of the resort. I would rate it only 1 to 2 stars. The food lacked variety, quality, and consistency. Having travelled to Cuba several times, I can honestly say that food at Cuban resorts felt like a luxury compared to what was offered here, which says a lot. The resort's strongest advantage is its location. Being only about 25 minutes from the airport makes arrival and departure very convenient. The beach is also fairly nice, with decent sand and easy access to the water. While not spectacular, it is certainly one of the better aspects of the property. Overall, if you are lucky enough to get a renovated room, your accommodation may be quite comfortable. However, the poor buffet quality, frustrating air-conditioning system, maintenance issues in the bathroom, and generally subpar resort experience make it difficult for me to recommend Sunscape Coco, especially to travellers who consider food and comfort important parts of their vacation. Rating: 2.5/5 Bottom line: The location, beach, and renovated room were the highlights of our stay, but poor food quality, bathroom maintenance issues, and an uncontrollable AC system prevented this from being a resort we would return to.

  Stayed for a day and liked it

  We stayed for one day and we loved it. I would definitely come back. If you don’t like a lot of children then this is not the place for you, but if you don’t mind, like us, I’d recommend. It’s a great time.
